Movie "Dragon Box" Announced + DBZ Re-release

Post by Sylver_ » Sat Jul 16, 2005 2:06 pm

Apparently the movie box is now confirmed and in addition we'll get a rerelease of the dbz episodes that were released 2003 in the dragon boxes.
very good news for those who cannot afford the boxes although i'm not sure if it will make a difference in the price if you plan on bying all of the 49 volumes which are going to be sold. (3990yens for each volume)

so really good news for the time being

here is the link to the official news
http://www.jumpland.com/dragonbox_gt/news/news.html

all of the movies will be released except the bandai "ova" which was on the 2nd dboxZ (the Z and GT TV specials were included in the episode boxes)
so it means 17 movies:

the 3 db movies, the 13 dbz movies and the 10th anniversary movie

So which episodes are going to be on the OVA box?

I don't know which episodes were released with the 2003 dragon boxes.

It can't mean all of them can it?

Too bad they won't be selling the Dragon Boxes again. I would be able to buy them if it were released by the time the seperate volumes are released.

"It means new artwork!"

=> it better be the same artwork, or I will have to buy them also..... what a waste of money, unless I can get a SCAN online somewhere.

3800 yen x 52 = a lot of $$$$$

Why do people require the new art work? Unless you're an artist why would you need to purchase more DVD's just for new pictures?

They are nice to look at though.

I collect TORIYAMAs new art.

=> I use the art for my PHOTOSHOP to make COVERS, and many other things. If i could get my hands on the ART DISC from TOEI or FUNIMATION, i would be happy.

I was this close to getting one 2 years ago, I knew someone who worked at FUNIMATION, but she got fired. oh well.

* is anyone here buying the re-release of DBZ on DVDs from JAPAN?

I think i might buy some select volumes myself, just ones with stand out episdoes on that i would love to have in there completly uncut original jap forms. The episodes with Trunk's first appearance, the Goku vs majin Vegeta fight and maybe a few others.

Yeah, this is definately great for buying select volumes that you really want, but it's totally unpractical to buy all the singles. The shipping alone would be like $500 (and that's the cheap shipping) Plus, when you add it all up, you'd be paying almost the same price as for the Dragon Boxes, minus the box, bonus disks, books, and action figures. :?

No way! Pre-orders always begin about 6 months prior to the release date. I think we'll be seeing movie box orders as soon as December or January. Where did you get the March 2006 release date? (it might indicate a much later release date for the movie box)

On the original DBZ Dragon Boxes where all the extras like the commercials on a seperate disk or where they dotted around on the actual episode disks? I only ask since it would be nice if on the rereleases they include a couple of DBZ Dragon Box extras per single volume release.

You don't need to start all your posts with asterixes or bizarre arrows. Just start whatever sentence with a capital letter.

Sorry if that came off all modly on you, but I just wanted to give you a heads up before you piss off somebody (I've noticed you've been repeating the same mistakes in every post you've made).

Finally!
Maybe this time, I'll be able to buy the DBZ series.
And I really hope that it comes with new artwork, like the Yuu Yuu Hakusho dvd releases did.
Anyways, great news for us; fans.

It's just that I can't think what he thinks when he types those symbols in when there's no need to, isn't there a grammar rule here or something?

Of course there is, and the funny thing is he's consistently ignored it, as well as ignoring the open letter that VegettoEX made addressed to him.
I would pitty him if he didn't know English well, but according to EX, he does.
