Tanooki's Videos

Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:59 am

I don't usually post my stuff in this area of the forum but, I was looking through it tonight and figured I might as well throw some of my stuff up on here too! So, for no reason, here are some of my favorite videos I've made over the past few months. Enjoy!

One day I was bored was thinking about how it would look if DragonBall Z used the same (1995) DragonBall opening. "Gotta Get That DragonBall" was a pretty catchy tune and was actually the only FUNimation original openings I liked. Eventually I also did DragonBall GT and that seemed to fit better than the DragonBall Z version. I guess it would make sense, the beginning of DBGT was mostly about finding those DragonBalls...

At some point in the past month I went back to the first DBZ dub done by FUNimation because I remember it being bad but, I guess I wanted to see if it was actually as bad as I remembered. Back then, Chris Sabat was doing the Vegeta voice totally different. I think the voice was just trying to copy the previous Vegeta voice actor who Chris Sabat was replacing.

While watching an episode of DBZK I realized Krillin did a horrible job protecting the DragonBall and keeping his word to Guru, so I made this quick little video...

I made this after remembering that "Krillin's in the house" line. I thought, is there any scenes where he's actually in a house? But then I remembered when Raditz tail smacked him into a house, and thought that was way funnier...

This next one is what was going through my head when I heard that horrible dubbing of Piccolo fusing with Nail. It took me about a day to draw all the frames and I could have done it much better if I took more time on it. But, I didn't. I think it's just OK...

And finally, this! This is that song from he first Toy Story movie, "Strange Things Are Happening To Me". One day while listening to the full song, I thought about how this would relate to a DragonBall character, and Freeza just popped into my head. The way I thought about it, it fit him pretty well.

Wow  didn't know C. Sabat's original Vegeta was THAT similar to Brian Drummond's.!
I liked all your vids, but I especially liked the Freeza one, as it's creative and fits perfectly.

That Freeza video was your best. I like how the song lined up with the footage.
