You realize you can't just block in the middle of a combo and expect to interrupt it, right? That's what makes it a combo. And in this kind of series, pressing square four times is considered a "combo".LeprikanGT wrote:This block button B*LLSH*T is literally going to be why I stop playing this game and go sell it back to GameStop.

Why are people bitching about the block button, it's absolutely fine... Hell, it's more precise than Raging Blast, especially with teleportation.

I tried this with a few characters...I stood still and did nothing but hold block and I moved in the direction they were going to hit me and I got hit most all of the time and that punch jab where it knocks the wind out of you. The only thing it worked for was supers and god forbid the AI ever went into high tension instead of RS 8 times a match.
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Well I'm not having this problem... Maybe it's the fact you keep moving the directional stick.LeprikanGT wrote:I tried this with a few characters...I stood still and did nothing but hold block and I moved in the direction they were going to hit me and I got hit most all of the time and that punch jab where it knocks the wind out of you. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
So if Mecha Frieza makes sense then shouldn't No. 17 and 18 have that same type of attribute? I don't care what the dub says they are artificial humans and they are not androids so they should be able to charge if Frieza can, the actual androids yea let them be, that is fine. Cooler was so out of the blue I am still shocked and I think he also has the regenerating ki as well so that makes him like a hybrid or something.TheDevilsCorpse wrote: Mecha Freeza makes sense being able to charge since his ki still seems to be organic, though Mecha Coola being able to surprised me and I have no idea why they made him able to. The Jinzoningen are fine the way they are though, it adds variety to the way characters play, and in a game like Spike's, with a huge roster, that is a good thing.
I have an idea for you, try equipping one of the character ai's on the cpu. When I watched CPU fights with certain ai's set on them the entire match went by and nobody used Raging soul in a few matches. That should solve your problem. This game is about vanishing and how many times do I have to tell you? Block is not broken it just waits for the attack animation to end before it blocks I feel like you keep missing me when I say this and your constant complaint of the block button being broken is kind of aggravating.LeprikanGT wrote:Maybe if the AI didn't use it every 3 seconds, and maybe fired an ultimate in high tension like it was meant to be it would not be such a problem.
What item lets me use supers in RS mode? I'd have that thing attacked to everyone, for when I hit it by mistake trying to block a ki blast.
PS - Full Power Bojack's Galactc Blow = best new move in the game.
I agree with you there was only 4 new team attacks added this time around and 14 and 15 did things in the movie that the developers I guess blanked on.goku the krump dancer wrote:I'm just soooooo disappointed that 14 and 15 dont have a team attack. Also that 90% of the old characters dont have new moves but I guess I can let thats slide because the new ones that we have are spectacular.
One more thing, does anyone know if Cell Games Gohan has the Goku outfit from movie 9? I ask because they have a pic of him( using in-game graphics) wearing those clothes when you go listen to the BGMs, its a pic of him, Bojack and Kuririn I believe.
Wow can you please get out of my head? jk. Lol I swear I was just reading this and thinking did I type this because me and you are completely in sync with our wants. I agree 100% lets not have GT especially if there will only be like 5 or so they actually put in. If I had one plea I would ask the developers to go back watch every episode, special, and movie and really take notice on the outfits. I believe every character even the lesser ones should have something new I really don't like to use "well they didn't do anything in the show" as an excuse to use generic supers for them. How about a little something called creativity be used? Think about what they would of done heck even Zangya has a cool move from the movie they haven't put in and that was right there for them to copy and just put into her moveset.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:
I doubt we'll get a Badman Vegeta too, but it would be nice. I don't know why you think we won't get Gohan's movie 9 dogi though, I'm more than willing to bet that it will be in the next game.
I'm actually hoping that Raging Blast 3 focuses on the end of Z and maybe even Neko Majin for cameos instead of adding in a crappy GT roster which will never be done justice if they only add anther 30 characters/forms. Goku could get his blue dogi, Vegeta could get the gym clothes, throw in teen Trunks (present) and teen Goten, as well as kid Pan, kid Uub, Onio (Base, SS), Z (maybe Super Neko Majin? dunno) and Kurieza (both forms). Would be nice to finally be able to play that portion of the series as more than just Goku and Uub in Budokai 3.
We do seem to have a differing opinion though, since I believe every costume Goku has is necessary (except maybe the Yardrat one, which was just cool). I fight more in the Kaio, Go and battle damaged dogi way more than his others. Some people have suggested making the symbols an item to equip, but I don't see the point, since it is just an asinine way of doing the exact same thing that they already have done.
I hope they bring back Uub from Z and since Tarble has been introduced lets teach the American fans a little more about Japan's characters and bring the Neko Majin cast in! Heck they would probably not even fill up 10 slots to have all of them and their forms into the game, speaking of Tarble I hope they recall his moveset and use some of that creativity I was talking about earlier. I am grateful for Cooler's Armored Squad and I have wanted the androids 14 and 15 in for a long time but if you want to show us new characters make them somebody we can use. Currently the new guys have movesets you would see in the Tenkaichi series except Dore who has one close range smash attack, they have 2 supers, 2 stat boosters and an ultimate. Where is the fun in being 14 or 15 who have 2 moves to use aside from the ultimate as where you can use Bojack or Vegeta who have a butt load of stuff to choose from? The only new character that is actually worthy of the title "new" is Hatchyaack and rightfully so too. Why didn't they treat the new characters like they treated him? BTW since they removed the robot from PtEtS's in the new special I guess we will never get him. Too bad he looked cool.
Also here is an idea you will probably all find stupid but if they brought back Frieza's Soldier what if they made a character called Namekian and Saiyan? Just like Frieza's solder the Namekians have alts as different people seen in the anime/movies and the saiyan's it works as you see saiyans like the ones shown in the Bardock Special and even separate the Saiyans as male and female saiyans. I think it would be cool anyway.

I sure hope the third game adds only more DBZ characters. There's never been a cohesively complete DBZ game with all of the DBZ characters that mattered. Sparking! METEOR could've been that game, but they insisted on non-canon GT and out-of-place Dragon Ball characters.
Honestly, I feel like I have just as many (if not more) options than in Sparking! NEO, because honestly, I rarely ever played DB/DBGT characters. They were just sort of... there.
I mean, if they added King Cold, King Vegeta, Slug, Garlic Jr., Supopobitchi... maybe Yakon and Puipui as well somehow integrated large characters without it being lame (so Hildegarn and Dr. Uiro could make it in) and have the rest of the additions be movie characters, then it I think it would be more or less complete.

Are there any special tricks or items to attatch that just unlock the R3 seal? I cannot beat the Metal Cooler Ultimate zone, I've been trying all day. I've got 3 minutes to beat the fighter without using any supers or ultimates, they keep tearing me a new one.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I would be happy if they finished the Z movies and the series, there is not too many people left to add to make it the perfect DBZ title. It could be their last PS3 game so I hope they go all out on this next one and add in brand new characters that all feel special and don't feel like they are just there because they never before been seen but compared to the others they are useless which seemed to be the case for this game as happy as I am to have the new people.Thanos wrote:I sure hope the third game adds only more DBZ characters. My advice is to put on the item that lengthens your raging soul and go into it beating the crap out of them.LeprikanGT wrote:Are there any special tricks or items to attatch that just unlock the R3 seal? Blarg.
I'm beginning to regret pre-ordering the special edition, it was supposed to be dispatched on the 4th, and so far (despite charging my credit card) I haven't even gotten any confirmation that it has shipped. Meanwhile I'm really hankering to watch the feature and I'm resisting the urge to just download it instead of waiting for my copy to arrive.

Oi vey, this game is frustrating. I've never had so many missions that have kicked my ass right out of the gate like I have with this one.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I know what you mean. I feel like half of them, all i was able to do is just attack and not let up the entire time, they feel SOOOOO rushed to me. I like having some time to enjoy my battles; not ljust kill someone in two or three strung together melee attacks.
Metal Cooler Ultimate Zone pissed me off so much yesterday that I just turned the PS3 off for the whole night.
Taking Ki attacks away from DBZ is like taking speed away from racing games. >.>

I was going to do Battle Zone once I realized that it could possibly be just another long string of seemingly never ending series of matches. How many are there?

I spent a lot of time in Battle Zone, too, because it seemed like I was unlocking some items that would be helpful over in Galaxy mode. Is it worth it to keep going in there? I've gone through four of the sets, I think.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I don't think it is worth going to the Battle Zone for that reason. Galaxy Mode is pretty easy, the only parts that make it challenging are the gimmicks like starting near death, having your health decrease, having your opponents health increase, etc. and those can be canceled out through items which you can only get through Galaxy Mode. And the majority of items I have gotten from the Battle Zone are items which change CPU settings and aura...VegettoEX wrote:I spent a lot of time in Battle Zone, too, because it seemed like I was unlocking some items that would be helpful over in Galaxy mode. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
This game seriously surprises and disappoints me about every ten minutes. Bardock in the final ultimate battle zone did Wild Sense + his dash move THE ENTIRE MATCH.
Did they not test out what these players do or is this training for online spammers? He just knocked out all 6 of my health bars and I did maybe 5000 damage to him the whole match.
I'll be the first to say I was excited about this game and I knew since the first scan I would be buying it day 1, but I feel like this was the first game to fully let me down when it comes to combos and (all) that.

No offense, but from your commentaries, I can see you have a love-hate relationship with Raging Blast 2. I too experienced that with Spider-Man 3 for PS2. It was one of the most horrible and lousy games I've ever played, and somehow, I still kept a smile on my face while I played it, go figure...LeprikanGT wrote:Since I cannot edit my last post:

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
There are a few things I absolutey loathe about the battle system and there are things I SO love about the game, like the pictures. They are a great addition, getting to see random moments in the show, and they got so random with picking them. They go from ones of the eyecatches to the last frame of the old ending with Goku in the JTTW outfit on the dragon's head.
I would't mind if RB3 has super short CLIPS from the show, kind of like how Sagas had, but better incorporated into the game.
I know everyone loves Raging Soul but if that ONE thing wasn't in the game, I would love it so much more. That pinball thing is a crazy long combo and there doesn't seem to be a way to cancel it once you are past the first few hits and it is SO aggravating.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
One of the things I noticed about Raging Blast 2 is that the teleportation is so much more forgiving in the way of timing. This is probably because they mapped it to a shoulder button, which is harder to hit with accurate timing than a face button. Even still, it is more difficult. I wish they had just mapped block to a face button and the signature modifier to the shoulder. Basically flip R1 and O.
But, LeprikanGT, you can counter a "pinball" combo when you opponant is in Raging Soul. You just have to time your teleportation right. The game slightly slows down right before you opponent hits you, if you can nail the block button right at the end of that slowdown, you'll teleport behind them. Be careful though, they can counter that too.
