Very, very interesting titles. I have to wonder if these will be consoles or scaled down handhelds? Might one of these be for the 3DS?

Man, a new Butoden game would be awesome. Especially if we got a story mode like in SB2 (which at this point is the ONLY sort of story mode I'll accept.)

1. I never played anything before the PS1 games, so I SOOOO hope these are console games.
2. There was listing for a DB game on the 3DS so that is a possibility that it is one of them.

I wonder if this game is the new DBZ game for the 3DS? I played the Butoden games years ago when I first download my first emulator back in the early 2000's, good to see something else then the same old stuff that we have got in the past five or six years.

For sure the Butouden game will be on the 3DS. Probably a remake.
Zenkai sounds like another PSP game.

I've never heard of Namco Bandai referred to as Namdai. I can't tell if I like the merged name or not right now. Kind of neutral on that.
As for the games; please let one of them be for the DS! After I (eventually get back to playing and) finish Dragon Quest, I'm going to be in the market for a new DS game.
I'm happy that the titles are actually something different-sounding. I also hope whichever one is for the consoles (or both are consoles?) will have more new 2-D animation in it. :3
Also, playable Bad Man Vegeta.
On hiatus.

I really hope "Ultimate Butōden" gets made. The Butōden games are my favourite series of 2D DB fighters.

I concur. It's been 5 years since SuperSonic Warriors 2. The DS is long overdue for another good DragonBall fighting game. A grand finale for the franchise on the system before the 3DS takes over!

Well, technically we had Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars in the meanwhile (and even if they're not DB-specific games, they were still light-years ahead of most of the DB-only games)... ^_~
... but I agree that another DS game of any type would be welcomed.
As I noted in the update, though, there's no real indication that either of these titles are 100%, for realz, totally confirmed to be DB games -- it's just very likely. We know a 3DS game is in development (or at least will be at some point), so...

I've been calling them that since the merger, and I can only assume I'm not the only one.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Well yeah, there's those, but... well,
Super Smash Brothers Brawl has Sonic the Hedgehog in it, but you wouldn't really count it as a "Sonic game."

I hope Zenkai Battle Royale is a new game for the PS3 and 360. Another fighting game for the 3DS does seem possible, while SW2 did not sell very well that does mean they can't make another fighting game for the DS.

Butoden was a Street Fighter II style game, right? In that case I'm interested. I've been waiting for a Budokai/Street Fighter game to come out. Sparking and Raging just don't do it for me.

It would be nice if they added Ozotto in Zenkai Battle Royal or Ultimate Butouden. He is pretty much Dragon Ball's equivalent to Bagan, I always like how he look and I think it would be nice to see him again.

If they release a 2D Dragon Ball game similar in style to Street Fighter II/III or Marvel Vs. Capcom...

Wouldn't that be Burst Limit 2?

This tells me you've never played either Street Fighter, or Burst Limit.

Not at all. The only similarity between Burst Limit and Street Fighter is the traditional side POV.
If this new Butouden game is for 3DS and is a throwback to the old Butouden games, it should feel a little more like Street Fighter, though.
Either way, I'm excited... whatever these games are.
