I pronounced it right the second I saw his name. But that nut kept on insisting on this pronunciation.

I heard a rumour that, despite it was even stated in the manga that Mecha Freeza was stronger than he was on Namek, because the cybernetic parts of his body were to repair his broken body and fix his injuries, and that they actually suppressed his power and made him unable to use his full power.
