Can't you understand that some people have different opinions and may not want to accept DBO as canon because the man himself hasn't come out and directly said "DBO is canon"? Get the fuck over yourself and stop dragging on this petty argument about whether or not DBO is canon. Everyone has their own personal canon, and no matter what you do you can't turn them round to your opinion.Senzu_Bean wrote:Akira Toriyama has being working in DBO for over 5 years. I don't have poor eyesight. This argument over whether or not DBO is canon has been going on as an underlying matter of this topic for ages, and, even though it's your second post, you're still dragging it on with your post saying that you can't understand how people put it in the same canon plateau as DBGT. Frankly, I'm getting a bit fed up of going in circles about what's canon or not and I just want to talk about DBO without getting into its canonicity.Senzu_Bean wrote:Piccolo Daimao wrote:Can't you understand that some people have different opinions and may not want to accept DBO as canon because the man himself hasn't come out and directly said "DBO is canon"? And you seem pretty upset about such trivial subject for someone who actually DOESN'T own Dragonball.

They're both non-canon. Simple as that.Senzu_Bean wrote:Akira Toriyama has being working in DBO for over 5 years. The game is boiling with ideas and designs that only the man could have created. Yet people still put it in the same canon plateau as DBGT. I can't understand this...

Not sure what you're trying to attain with such post but DBO is canon in my book.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:They're both non-canon. I'm saying that neither was in the Manga or created directly by Toriyama. Thus, making them both non-canon.Senzu_Bean wrote:Not sure what you're trying to attain with such post but DBO is canon in my book.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:They're both non-canon. Re: Dragon Ball Online Original Story
I'd say they're both canon. Just in alternate universes. Also this is my first post.

Besides wouldn't it be better, if the "canon" debate continued in that other thread? since the guy, who posted here before went out of his way to create a new one entirely dedicated to such a debate.
I'll have to say I agree with this:

Glad someone agrees. Welcome from me as well Kaialone!
Also, I don't know if some of you guys noticed, but the DBO canon discussion moved over to this thread: http://daizex.fanboyreview.net/viewtopi ... =7&t=15113

As a third party observer, let me say that, first of all, Senzu_Bean was talking to Piccolo Daimaoh, not Piccolo Daimao (there's a subtle differencePiccolo Daimao wrote:I don't have poor eyesight. Also, your reaction was a little extreme. Why let yourself get so worked up over a silly little game? It seems that everybody keeps losing their shit on this forum lately. Chill out, folks. It's just Dragon Ball, not politics or something.

YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!! STOP TRYING TO BOSS ME ARRRROUUUNNND!!!! RAAWWWRRRR!!!!

On topic, I kinda wanna know what happened to the Namekian Dragon Balls. Did they get destroyed? Did... whatshisname... the Namek Elder deactivate them? Are they also hidden on Earth along with the Earthling Dragon Balls?

Probably destroyed. And since they're on Earth, perhaps they saw no need to create a whole 'nother set of magical items for people to steal.

I'm still kind of wondering if Bulma and Chi-Chi were still alive in year 801. I hope I eventually find out. Just wishing to hear more details on the goings on involved with Goku and Vegeta's event.
On hiatus.
Re: Dragon Ball Online Original Story
Well, I think there are quite a few pages left that have yet to be translated so I wouldn't be surprised if they got a mention somewhere in there. Hopefully our good pal Amaranth Sparrow will be kind enough to translate for us at some point.Chuquita wrote:I'm still kind of wondering if Bulma and Chi-Chi were still alive in year 801. Did the first volume of DBO encyclopedia had been released already?
Didn't Miira got them before blow up the planet Namek for good?Travis Touchdown wrote:On topic, I kinda wanna know what happened to the Namekian Dragon Balls. Did they get destroyed? Yes, I've just been busy the last few days. Not sure when I'll work on the rest of it, I'll try and do it soonish.Senzu_Bean wrote:Amaranth Sparrow, are you planning in translate the last couple of pages?
Regarding canon... Look at it this way. GT is either the canon successor to the DBZ anime or non-canon. DBO is either the canon successor to the Dragon Ball manga or non-canon. Take your pick. There's no use in arguing about it.
There was a "Message from Toriyama" posted up on the official DBO website at the time of the beta launch, but I never read it, so I'm not sure what it said. I believe it was translated into Korean.

Re: Dragon Ball Online Original Story
I didn't see him talking to anyone in particular. I dragged myself into the discussion because, rather than reading about DBO's original story, I had to read through a bunch of people going around in circles over whether or not DBO is canon or not.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:As a third party observer, let me say that, first of all, Senzu_Bean was talking to Piccolo Daimaoh, not Piccolo Daimao (there's a subtle differencePiccolo Daimao wrote:I don't have poor eyesight. You dragged yourself into the discussion by replying to him. If you don't like what people are talking about, go read a different topic!

But I don't care anymore. The discussion's been carried over to another thread, which I'll stay well away from.
And yeah, everybody keeps losing their shit on every forum. It's a forum, people are bound to get intense in heated discussions.
