Quite. The first half suffers a bit from being a much-too-quick-paced adaption of the pre-Pilaf parts of the Pilaf arc, but the latter half is great stuff. Feels very different from all the other Dragonball material out there, too.

Hot diggity, if that's true it's good news. I don't really mind or care if any of the other movies get redubs or not (though it'd certainly be nice for 2 and 3), so long as they're better on the video side than the old releases.

I haven't seen any of the original Dragon Ball movies. I'll definitely get the 4-pack when it is released. It would be nice if they redub the 2nd and 3rd movie as well.

Actually this could answer why this movie was pushed back so much, to dub the other movies with the Kai cast. I'm actually gonna pick this up even though I own Dragon box the Movies. 4th movie and now the 1st have the best dubs imo, of course I'm hoping all have all been redubbed.

I was out for School, so I just NOW saw the "Dragon Ball Movie Four Pack" news.

I dunno what to think. The "Remastered" thing makes me think of Funimation's remastering for the Z Movies. But I already own the 3 movies in the box set Funi released a while back. If I do plan on buying it, it'll be *after* somebody picks it apart. I don't wanna use my cash on something I might not even want.

Even though the japanese version was already decent on the original releases, this new set sounds interesting. Hopefully it'll have an improved dub as well as a progressive encode like the episodes.

I'm pretty happy about this. Particularly because I've never seen ANY of the DB movies outside of movie 4. The fact that its getting the (infinitely superior) Kai treatment is a plus for me.

Well great. Now since I know nothing about this new 4 pack, I'm going to hold out on getting the new single of movie 1. I'd like to know how the remastering is and if they are redubbing any of the other movies. Which makes you wonder, is the single of movie 1 remastered?

It would not be very hard to have a better transfer and encode then the old DVD release of movies 2-4.
