$40 is pretty cheap buddy, I can probably do $400 if I wanted to well not on DVDs but other stuff.

This is very normal for any anime DVD well the $50 price tag anyway.

Good for you.

It's great that you could theoretically spend the $480 to $660 a year in the hypothetical situation I created, but not everyone wants to spend that much on Dragon Ball. Hell, I'm a fan and I wouldn't want to spend that much on the series in one year. That's why FUNimation spreads the sets out, so that people will be able to afford and willing to buy the sets every time they come out.

^^;; Again. Good for you. But some of us haven't got that sort of money. So we need the gap in time to be able to save the money up for the releases. In fact, I need to wait anyway, until the import prices are lower, as otherwise I get caught out by customs. (When I bought the first set of Kai, I had it on pre-order on Amazon.com itself, and I ended up spending the same amount in pounds for what it was worth in dollars, thanks to customs. In other words, I paid roughly double the amount I could have. About £50.00 for something roughly $50, if I remember rightly.)

The SSJ episodes are on this Saturday back-to-back. How soon will Nicktoons have them up on their website?

For anyone who wants an idea of how Ayres might handle Freeza's breakdown, it's in the Freeza saga on Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really gonna miss Chris Ayres as Freeza, because to me at this point, (he) defines what he is. (Your) thoughts, anyone?

This would probably fit more in the "New Freeza Talkback" thread: http://daizex.fanboyreview.net/viewtopi ... 16&t=13606

But yeah, I am going to miss Ayres as Freeza...thankfully, there will always be new games...hopefully, next time, with more story.

Oh, OK. Well, we knew it had to come to an end sometime, but there's still a chance he may voice another character (and hopefully do it justice).

Well, he's going to be voicing Freeza in everything else for FUNimation from this point on, not just the main Kai series. That means video games, promotional material, redubs of GT and the Z movies... Okay, maybe not those last two, but a man can dream.

In DBKai, I think he's just gonna stay down there. :D

There's always the potential to redub the movies with the new cast and Kai-level of quality.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be awesome of Ayers also voiced Koola? Keep the original parallel there?

I think it would be a good idea. Coola is Freeza's brother, after all, and if Ayres got it right with Freeza, then surely he should be able to get it right with a similar character.
