Well, here we go with some Japanese sales figures!

The PS3 version of the game debuted at #2 its first week with 47,610 copies sold. As expected, the 360 version didn't so nearly as well. In fact... it's not even listed in the top 20 for the week at all.

How much did the first game do in its first week, again? Was it ~60K? Don't remember the split. Gotta look that up...

EDIT: Yep, the first game did 57,972 copies on PS3 its first week, and the 360 version didn't place.

It's in the top twenty whatever at least.

I agree it shouldn't be an ultimate especially when it leaves you pretty much useless once you use it. I don't think it should be a transformation either, actually I don't think it should be like it is now in the first place. What I think is Body Change needs to be a super that way you are free for an ultimate(I am sure they can come up with something cool for Ginyu as an ultimate.) The way it is now is just stupid, Ginyu doesn't search for somebody to switch bodies with he uses body change as a last ditch effort if the person he is fighting is stronger than him. Did Ginyu look for a random Namekian when he fought Goku? No he switched with him then and there. Also the whole move needs a makeover. Poor choice of words but what ever, I want it to look like it did when he did it with Goku in the anime. Before this would seem impossible but since they made Jenemba have his twisting time time transmission, this should be very doable. Also he should hurt himself beforehand again, he hasn't done that in quite some time.

I actually think that's a really solid idea, I'm actually amazed I've never heard this suggestion before personally.

That's pretty good considering its predecessor was apparently the same game with a few minor tweaks.

I just knew most the profits would come from Japan. One thing the Japanese do is they respect games like this more than North America does. I have to say it was a very unfortunate time for a DBZ game to be released because I don't see it fairing too well against these big named titles that are coming out around the same time.

Yeah, Call of Duty and all, it's nice, that it's doing decent in Japan at least.

I guess Japanese can't read? I always make the appeal "No bad connections allowed" (or something like that) because all the fights with Japanese are laggy as a turtle with broken legs.

I think RB3 seems likely now since RB2 is doing pretty well Japan going by the sells. These games sell better in Japan then in the US since these games have better marketing and more general appeal then they do in the US.

I am expecting the sequel to Raging Blast 2 so I can use GT characters but for now i'm having little fun on ragin blast 2 until Raging Blast 3 does get announced in Japan.

Don't count on the inclusion of GT characters... the series is shaping up to be a complete DBZ roster. If there are GT characters, then we'd have yet another game with an incomplete character roster.

The one thing that was mentioned about Raging Blast 3 (which did indeed confirm its existence) was the fact that they were going to "look into" possibly looking into adding GT characters. Hopefully if they're smart they'll keep the DBZ-exclusiveness. Which doesn't seem like a stretch, since RB1 & 2 only had DBZ characters, and the demand for GT content is practically non-existent (or, at the very least, not worth the developers' consideration).

I almost wonder if the Dragon Ball camp in Japan is trying to do a GT purge, in lieu of Dragon Ball Online?

Personally, I am hoping for GT characters in RB3. I really wanna play as the Super Saiyan 4 characters. But if it ends up being Z-exclusive, I won't be that upset.

Game sales reflect on the game quality.

That statement is completely false! Some gems, like Okami, Shadow of the Colossus or Beyond Good & Evil wouldn't go unnoticed, and they're praised as some of the finest games on last generation's consoles! In the opposite way, games that are exceptionally bad wouldn't sell millions (most movie-to-game adaptions come into my mind). What "sells" a game is a decisive number of factors, and game quality is certainly not the main reason most of the times...

I don't understand why so many people want GT characters in Raging Blast 3. Is it really that important? Raging Blast 3 will be a Dragon Ball Z game, not a DB/Z/GT game. It's supposed to focus on the Z portion of the story, and DB and GT characters are just bonus add-ons that don't fit in the game.

I don't understand why you don't understand why people want GT characters in Raging Blast 3. Some people like things. Amazing how that works, huh? :)

The GT characters (some of them, anyway) are vastly superior to their Z counterparts in terms of strength, so it makes sense that people would want the strongest characters in the Dragon Ball universe included in a fighting game. I wish they'd give at least the Baby, Super 17, and Shadow Dragons sagas some decent gameplay in the next game. Along with Budokai 1-style cutscenes for the entire story mode, and roughly the same number of fights as Budokai Tenkaichi 2 featured as you progressed through the story. And more Chris Ayers.
