Most likely not due to FUNimation using the images that were on the original Dragon Box:

Goku
Freeza
Cell
Piccolo
Gohan
Vegeta
and SSJ Goku

And for the next releases (6 and 7) chances are that Piccolo will be used for six since he's around a lot helping with Goten and Trunks' fusion after Goku leaves, and SSJ Goku for seven because he defeats Boo using the Genki Dama while in Super Saiyan form.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

That could be a killjoy, but there's still hope for the DBox-quality specials to be released again outside of the 7 DBoxes as a double feature disc. They might carry a slightly heftier price tag than we would have paid for them as regular episodes, but given the massive discount FUNi has given us so far, that would be fine.
I can see their parachutes.

Could you re-upload the image, YBM? It was deleted off of Photobucket, and I didn't get to see it.

Oh crap, I forgot to check page 2.

Thank you anyway! Interesting that there's only 41 episodes on this set. I guess if you add it up, the rest will be 41 as well, because that will equal 291 episodes.

I love the end of the Cell arc and the beginning of the Buu arc, so I'll definitely be picking this up. Can't wait!

Since we are all on the topic of upcoming Dragon Box covers, I'd LOVE for someone to do mock ups of volume 6 and 7. I can pretty much imagine more or less what they will look like, but I'd still like to see it, if anyone is willing to make it. Also, a mock up of the complete spine image would be cool too. I know its the same as the JP, but it isnt as vertically tall, and I think at the rate the image is coming Gohan may stick off the side a little. Plus, it may just be because of the yellow borders of the box in the image, but Goku looks a lot wider on the english version than the original JP.

I was about to make mock-ups for them based on the photo a previous user posted that showed a page of an artbook with all the Dragon Box artwork in their entirety, but it was pretty bad so I wasn't able to do them. I should of asked for a scan.

I'm still freaked out by how the mock-up I did in September not only had the same image, but the size, positioning and what was cropped off was almost like a carbon copy, only more dark and episode count is different.
This was the mock-up I did:

Yes! That's the first thing I thought of. I didn't mention it before because I forgot who did it and where it was posted.

You've inspired me to try and attempt my own prediction at the 6th volume's cover.

This was the only size I could get the Piccolo picture without his face being right under the Dragon Box Z logo...

EDIT: Decided to do the last one too, though I wish I had a scanner, I had to photograph them both!

I really like that, and I also really like the graininess of the Piccolo image as well, even though I'm sure it's not going to look like that on the box itself, sadly...

Very nice, it'll be interesting to see how these will match up with the official boxart when they're revealed.

Gosh, volume 7 is going to look so sweet. I'd just make it even more badass if that box contained the two TV specials.

It'll be so badass that the Japanese will have to import our Dbox 7 to get the specials at a cheap price.

Why does every single DBox picture have a big ol' head and tiny arms?

Piccolo? They might as well put Pu'er or Farmer with a Shotgun on a cover, given how irrelevant Piccolo is at that point.

I guess he does regain a bit of relevance, as a babysitter.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Oh, really? Piccolo is important. Let's see what he does:

Almost kills Bobbidi who afterward is healed and doesn't die.
Babysits Trunks and Goten.
Teaches them fusion dance (Gotenks is absorbed though)
Forfeits to Kaioshin who turns out to suck at fighting.
Gets absorbed.
You can't possibly deny his presence and importance.
