Dragonball Z (Budokai) (PS2) freezing problem. Help.

I'm playing Dragonball Z 1 (NTSCJ) on a US ps2, and it freezes at the beginning of the second story mode level/mission/.
I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I want to find out if this is the fault of my console or my disc. Thanks.

It'll be a disc problem, never heard of this issue before.
Get it cleaned or buffered.
