This is not an Attack of the Saiyans sequel. Where is my Attack of the Saiyans sequel?

I bet they're waiting for the 3DS so you can see a Kamehameha...penguintruth wrote:This is not an Attack of the Saiyans sequel. Where is my Attack of the Saiyans sequel?
IN 3-D!
Or Super Saiyajin hair poking out...
IN 3-D!
Or Kuririn getting impaled and seeing Freeza's horns...
IN THE MOTHERFLIPPIN' 3-D!
But yeah, it would be cool if an AOTS sequel was the 3DS game announced.

No, that would suck, because then I'd have to buy a 3DS.
I'm not exactly burdened with an abundence of money.

Not excited because it's on the 3DS, just that it has a possibility of existing.penguintruth wrote:No, that would suck, because then I'd have to buy a 3DS.

So Ultimate Butoden isn't going to be on just a 2D scale. You can see a difference in background and which side they're on between screenshot 1 and 2. I would be so happy if it wasa Budokai style game for the DS.

The new screen shots look great. I can't wait to see some gameplay videos soon.

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
All I want to know is what the gameplay style. Is it going for Butoden/SF style? Or Budokai, etc... The screen shots don't inform as much as a footage would.
If you're not here soon... GET ON!
Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I'm pretty sure they're just at a different part of the ring. The Cell Games Ring was pretty big, and they probably just moved dramatically to the right or left between screenshots.Great Saiyaman I wrote:So Ultimate Butoden isn't going to be on just a 2D scale. In the first shot the ring is tilted diagonally, while the second and third are straight. I think there is going to be an axis to rotate around.Taku128 wrote:I'm pretty sure they're just at a different part of the ring. Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I'm kind of disappointed in their decision to use 3D models for the DS. Not trying to hate but the DS can't really handle 3D models very well. 2D sprites would have been better in my opinion. It seems they are breaking away from a side scrolling fighter, but I just don't know how it will work on the DS. I have the original modeled DS and I get this strange feeling that the screen is going to get really crowded. I'm hoping for the best so I'll wait for more info before I judge any further.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I like the graphical style of the models, looks exactly like the ones from DragonBall Origins on the DS, and I think it compliments the series earlier artwork style nicely.
Unfortunately, if what I'm reading on SRK's frontpage is true, I can't say I'm too excited for the gameplay -

Yeah... much as I love an excuse to shout KAIO KEN at the top of my lungs, that sounds pretty cheesy to me.
But I'm sure the kids will love it.

Also, with the way Dragonball sales are going now, I don't even think kids play these games. Just people like us, who love the series and by the games based on our fandom.

It fights for you? What the heck kinda fighting game is that? I don't want to buy a game to yell at it, and the DS is the worst possible system to just watch a fight on, since it has the weakest graphics. Hoping that's not true...

I hope they mean this:
The "fighting for you" is some kind of handicap or difficult setting that you can set up as you want.
And that the shouting is for minigames or selectable options in matches.

I don't think kids now these days even like Dragon Ball/Z/GT. Kids seem to like Ben 10, Clone Wars, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, and all that new crap on CN. The fans are the only reason why these games still get made today.I don't even think kids play these games.
