Who took the most painful hits in the series?
As the title suggests - Specifically, fist-fighting.
I'm currently thinking Vegeta is close to the top on this one, especially after re-watching the SSJ2 Vegeta and Goku punch-up. Vegeta took some monster hits from Kid Buu as well.
I dare say Piccolo took a few good hits throughout the series and movies too.
Thoughts?

Goku.
The full force punch to the nuts from Super 13 wins hands down IMO. Not only was Super 13 literally a tank in that movie, practically a juggernaut, but the point of impact is typically extremely vulnerable, even to much softer hits, to begin with. Super 13 had no mercy and seemed to be on a deliberate mission to stop Goku from ever having kids again in that universe (in the case that he survived the battle), so I'm guessing that timeline never saw a Goten.

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
There was a similar post over on the General Discussion forum; anyhow, I'd say the winners for the most painful hits are probably Vegeta and Videl. Both got beat up pretty bad and went through some very painful looking scenes. Never the less, I think all main characters took some kind of painful beating: Goku has been crushed by a giant ape Vegeta, beat up by Piccolo and had his insides torn out by an energy blast. Gohan also took some serious beatings as a kid, having his neck snapped by Recoom and his head smashed by Frieza, not to forget that gnarly blast that destroyed his left arm during the fight with Cell. Still, the most painful scene to me still has to be Videl getting beat up, especially considering she's a normal human being who was probably no stronger than the Z fighters at the beginning of DBZ.

What about Yamcha? You know, when he got impaled by Dr. Gero?

Nothing compared to Krillin being horn-raped by 2nd Form Freeza. Yeesh.dbgtFO wrote:Fitting name...painfuldeath wrote:*snip*

But yeah, I can't pick just one person. I think Goku, Vegeta, and Krillin share some very painful moments.

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
Wow, there are lots.
Ninja Murasaki falling with his butt in Goku's Nyoibo
During the 23rd tournament Piccolo fires a beam through Goku chest and them break his legs
Raditz and Goku being transpassed by the Makankousappou
Nappa punching Tenshinhan's arm and it falling apart
Oozaru Vegeta breaking Goku's leg
Vegeta punching Zarbon
Kuririn impaled by Freeza
Freeza cut in half
Cell hitting Vegeta's back
Gohan punch on Perfect Cell ("Ultra" form) head
And if filler counts:
Li Shenlong transpassing Vegeta's shoulder
Android 13 kicking Goku's balls

Probably Videl, who got absolutely massacred by Spopovich.

It always seemed to me that he cracked Vegeta's spine there. I mean, he went unconscious right after that, right?Fox666 wrote:

And we don't know about the damage he got, since he only wakes up after the Senzu bean.
I am probably wrong, tho'.

I thought he broke Vegeta's spine too. Gives more of an impact.Godo wrote:It always seemed to me that he cracked Vegeta's spine there. I mean, he went unconscious right after that, right?Fox666 wrote:

It's hard to say otherwise when you see a kick like that, really. Then again, I remember Yamcha versus Shen...

Can't forget poor Giran...

Or that Kamehame-Ha Piccolo Daimaô took to the back of the neck...
There's so many [good] painful hits that it's a little hard to pick a favorite...

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
I thought this thread was about which character took the most painful hits in general, rather than just one singular painful hit (like Super #13's ball-breaker to Goku).

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
I'm not sure if it counts because he did it to himself, but it looked really painful when Ginyu punched himself through the gut. O.O
Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
Krillin getting bashed by 2nd form Frieza's horn is pretty bad. Goku getting nut bashed in movie 7 is bad and Vegeta just got wrecked by Kid Buu.
Zarbon also got it pretty bad in his second fight with Vegeta.

Well, ignoring the ones where people are getting impaled and taken out in one moment, one that springs to mind is the Cell Juniors vs. Weakened MSSJ Goku, Tenshinhan, Kuririn and Yamcha 'fight'. I mean honestly, the CJ's essentially tortured those guys for who knows how long. I'd put that right up there.
I don't know one soul who didn't wince at this:

or this...

Poor Kuririn and Yamucha.

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
Yamcha's broken arm, I can sympathize with. Krillin taking a hit to the head and back...? Not so much.
Anyway, I was always given the impression that Coola was dead-set on driving his fist through Goku's stomach in Movie 5.

Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
Look at all the damage that one punch did to Vegeta. Ouch.
Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
Yeah there really are so many painful hits in the series. Vegeta getting his arm broken by C18 is pretty bad also or C20 pushing his arm through Yamcha. When Broly grabs Gohans face and shoves him into that cliff in movie 10 was pretty brutal too, then later he just squeezed him to death. Paragus died in a pretty messed up way too. Broly smashed him in his space pod. But he got what was coming to him I guess :/
Re: Who took the most painful hits in the series?
There are a lot.... I think Videl took a lot of painful hits from Spopovich, maybe not the most painful in the series, but it had to been very painful for her!
Oh, and maybe when Babidi's head is punched off by Buu. Ha ha.
