One of my favorite edgiest/darkest themes is Faulconer Productions' Imperfect Cell theme. It's a masterpiece. The scene when Cell appeared during the Piccolo/Android 17 fight was the best time it was used.

One of my favorite pieces, the piece used when Gokû erupts into a Super Saiyan while fighting Slug. That piece perfectly personifies the Super Saiyan, I feel. Very dark, chaotic, and scary.

I think "Ominous Silence" from Dragonball Kai and "Ginyu Transformation" are pretty dark pieces. They both use a lot of atmospheric silence, and they can be quite creepy.
