It's kind of cool how Bandai has tried to make it look like the Budokai series has come full circle.
Indeed, and perhaps Atari will at the least keep a vocaless version for the NA version, the fifth and final DBZ game for the PS2 platform; I know this is a way overused saying, but I can't wait!

For those interested in seeing at least some of the intro in action, as well as some gameplay footage, you may want to check this out. Though the audio is not synced the whole time the video is good.

I didn't notice any intro footage either but am I wrong in saying that the Budokai 3 theme (...or was it B2?) was playing towards the end of the clip?

I've heard it's from Budokai 1.

Someone on Gamefaqs even said it was the American DBZ theme. When he said that I got worried but I don't think it's in there.

GAH! Sorry guys, wrong video. I don't have the link for the other one anymore. So I took some quick screen caps of some of the intro scenes.

Okay, this is just my opinon, but those CG shots look TERRIBLE (SSJ2 Goku is the worse). I hate to think that this is what we'll be stuck with in the final DBZ game for the PS2 for the intro, Budokai 1 had a much better CG intro then that. I do wish they would of just hired Toei to animate a minute-and-a-half mini movie like Budokais 2 and 3 gotten. Hell even Sagas was smart enough to do that for their intro chapter. For Sparking! to be the 5th and most likley final DBZ game on the PS2 platform, I must say it sure as hell has the worst intro.

Ya. While it's pretty while in motion and such, the actual detail to the characters, design, and general feel, is just... not so great. The first Budokai game had the best non Cel-Shaded 3D graphics possible, IMO. Looked just like the show made 3D/Semi-real. These one's look... off.

They should have done like B1 if they wanted a 3D opening, used the ingame system. The movies using the in game system look pretty good (not that I've seen more than a 3 second or so clip of one of them).

Sorry for the double post but it's been over an hour. I uploaded the clip myself to Rapidshare. This is the video I mentioned once before, the one that Gamespot put up and then deleted.

Click and follow the directions on the page if you've never used Rapidshare. If you have, then you know what to do.

Are you using IE? That's the only browser I know for sure that works. Try that first, I'm only on dial-up so I'm not too thrilled with the idea of re-uploading it. Also, make sure you wait for the timer to run out, that's when the d/l starts.

I guess that commercial was cool. Wasn't enough intro footage to impress me.

What crappy CG. Pretty odd that an Adult Mystic Gohan is looking scared of a bunch of Mini Cells, even weirder that they're around at his age. =P

I can only guess that bit was refering to movie 12 (I haven't seen it yet, but since there was saibamen in the Super 17 saga, I can only assume there's Cell Jrs in Hell.).

No, Son Goku, I am pretty sure that the reference to the CG has to do with the clips above, being the intro for Budokai Tenkaichi, and they do look bad... :?

And I was saying that the bit with Adult Gohan and Piccolo fighting the Cell Jrs may have been a take on movie 12. Demi did wonder how it could be, so I answered with my theory.

If memory serves (my VCR is being weird so I can't watch the fansub Jers gave me..), Cell Jr. wasn't in the movie and Gohan did all of his fighting at Saiyaman. I think the only enemy he was actually shown fighting was Freeza.
