Vegeta had the mistaken gumption to challenge a might far superior to his own. This betrays an egregious lack of foresight and calculation. In fact, Vegeta seems to have quite the penchant for taking on challenges he is incapable of overcoming. His overweening pride clouds his better judgment, a trait many foolish Saiyans possess.Vegeta's not intelligent at all. He didn't craftily steal the Dragonballs from Freeza on Namek...

You sound like cell in the DBZ in a nutshell video, "Super saiyans are foolish!"Lord Exor wrote:Vegeta had the mistaken gumption to challenge a might far superior to his own. Re: Your most hated character
Vegeta counted on his near death powerups to do the job. When he found out that Freeza's other forms were indeed stronger than himself, he asked Kuririn to give him a near death powerup by blowing a hole in his chest. Quite smart solution if you ask me. He had the method and found out the means in a critical situation.Lord Exor wrote:Vegeta had the mistaken gumption to challenge a might far superior to his own. Freeza, on the other hand, still underestimated a Super Saiya-jin. Is he really that smart himself? Was he really so foreseeing that even though he feared the Super Saiya-jin, he let several Saiya-jins live, and also toyed with them, even though they had become stronger than Ginyu, who was the strongest warrior except for Freeza? And when he faced his biggest fear, a Super Saiya-jin, he went to fight him and taunt him? Go figure!
It's one thing to like a character, his attitude, and his ways. It's another thing to blindly back him up even though you have a biased point of view.
Myself, I don't like Vegeta as a character, and like Freeza. But it doesn't mean that I glorify him into this smart fella who is right in everything he says.

Re: Your most hated character
I used to hate Majin Buu, if that counts. Now, I look back on all that and laugh.
Don't see what's so obvious to hate about Broly. He's an N-Cap (or N-Cop). A term I now derive from the likewise this-moment derived acronym: Narratively Convenient Ass-Whooping, Personified.
I know it wont take, but I like being me.

Maron - Am I the only one who would have loved to see Chi-Chi use that Kaio-ken on her?
Semi-Perfect Cell - His voice is annoying, and his design was funny looking. He was just a joke.

Did anyone get flashes of Nappa and Vegeta when Yamu told Spopovich to stop playing games? Spopovich is the big mindless brute, while Yamu is the smaller, more level headed one who keeps his partner in check.Castor Troy wrote:For some reason I really didn't like Spopovich. I don't necessarily hate Marron--she was just a typical bimbo character who didn't really do anything in the story. But as for Kuririn and #18's daughter Marron...I just think she was a pointless character just shoved in for the cute factor. Especially since I hate Kuririn and #18 getting together in the first place.Nippolyte wrote:Maron - Am I the only one who would have loved to see Chi-Chi use that Kaio-ken on her?

I don't hate Semi-Perfect Cell either. I think the fact that he had the shortest screentime and, as you said, his design, plays a part. They pretty much got rid of his wings, gave him odd-looking lips and a generic bulky structure. I didn't get the same creepy sense from first form Cell, or the arrogant jerk vibe from Perfect Cell.
But a lot of people seem to bash him because he "acted like a baby" when he couldn't beat Super Vegeta, which is no different from all the other times villains have thrown tantrums because they couldn't defeat the hero.

Now I think about it, they are similar. Yamu appeared to be the leader of the two, who told Spopovich to stop playing around and gave Spopovich orders to hold Gohan down while he took his energy.

Also coincidentally I'm pretty sure, that in the Ocean version they were voiced by the same guys who voiced Vegeta and Nappa.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Did anyone get flashes of Nappa and Vegeta when Yamu told Spopovich to stop playing games? I agree! I would've liked it more if, after Cell was defeated, #18 would go back to #17, wandering around the world like they did before Cell came, and maybe make a cameo in the Buu saga somehow. #18 joining the gang was a bit oddPiccolo Daimao wrote:But as for Kuririn and #18's daughter Marron...I just think she was a pointless character just shoved in for the cute factor. I assume 17 at least had to be at #18 and Kuririn's wedding.sbk wrote:I agree! I believe you mean he displays 'an egregious lack of foresight and calculation', not betrays it. Betraying a lack of calculation, or in other words, acting with calculation, would imply that he acted intelligently, which you are hellbent on proving otherwise.Lord Exor wrote:This betrays an egregious lack of foresight and calculation.

Re: Your most hated character
I probably hate Vegeta the most. It's not that he's not a good, well rounded character, but just the fact that I can't stand people who are selfcentered and have massive egos. That's pretty much the core personality trait that Vegeta has, so that makes me heavily biased against him. It also doesn't help that he'll do pretty much anything to fuel that ego, even if might cost him the lives of his allies. *coughcellcough*

I agree with you on Vegeta being self centered and having a huge ego... However i do love to see him talk so much shit and then ACTUALLY back it up. I.E. Vegeta vs #19.Kiyza wrote:I probably hate Vegeta the most.
