Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
I was thinking..
In the Saiyans saga, Goku says to Gohan that just people with a pure heart can move the Genki Dama.. so, how Kid Boo was moving it? I think that he never could move it, cause he has a evil heart. What do you think?

Kid Boo was never moving the Genki-Dama. He was just holding it back.

If you're strong enough, why not? If you're not, then you must be pure-hearted.

Kid Buu can do anything he wants, He did teleport into the afterlife after all. Rules do not apply for this creature at all.

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
So, Goku and Kibito are also exempt from "rules," by attribute of their teleporting to the afterlife? Though technically, the Kaioshin realm is even further removed than the afterlife dimension is...

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
Yeah, I don't see the problem here. Do people think that if Goku took that tiny Genki-Dama he used to blow up the brick as a test on Kaio's and tried firing it at 100% full power Freeza, that Freeza wouldn't be able to move it?hleV wrote:If you're strong enough, why not? Basically, a pure person can always bounce it back, because they don't have any evil Ki, but an evil person can only push it back if they're strong enough.

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
It makes no sense to say that an evil being can't move a Genki Dama just because they're evil. It's the same as any other Ki attack except that pure hearted beings can move it regardless of power.

Agreed, unlike other Majin Buus, Kid Buu can actually fight Mr. Satan.TheMajinRedComet wrote:Kid Buu can do anything he wants, He did teleport into the afterlife after all. Rules do not apply for this creature at all.
Anyway, if Goku were to throw a universal spirit bomb at someone pure good (like Gohan), would the Spirit Bomb have no effect on him then?

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
Kaio said that the Genki Dama can even destroy the planet you're trying to protect if you're not careful, and it blew up that brick Kaio threw pretty well. There's probably no reason it couldn't hurt someone with a pure heart, so long as they didn't reflect it. I guess the thing about Gohan reflecting it is pretty vague, too; could he reflect it because Kuririn had specifically aimed it at Vegeta's "evil ki", or can someone with a pure heart always reflect it? The idea that you need a pure heart to make a Genki Dama at all--though I don't know how canon that requirement is--would fit with the idea that pure hearted people can also manipulate it, i.e. bounce it back.Kid Buu wrote:Anyway, if Goku were to throw a universal spirit bomb at someone pure good (like Gohan), would the Spirit Bomb have no effect on him then?

It's completely harmless against those with a just heart. It's possible to transfer the ball by grasping hands. --Daizenshuu 2, Special Attacks (Kanzentai)
Though that doesn't help answering if it is just useless against them because it wont work or because they can bounce it back.
Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
Well, that explains where the idea comes from. Oddly, Daizenshuu 7's Genki Dama entry doesn't mention it at all.

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
Afterlife? Kaioshins' Realm (or however it's called) isn't afterlife but just some very "holy place", although it's possible for the dead to enter it too. And I believe the part where Buu teleported to the real afterlife was filler.TheMajinRedComet wrote:Kid Buu can do anything he wants, He did teleport into the afterlife after all. Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
The only time Majin Buu moved the Spirit Bomb, was in the anime. I don't think the manga shows it, so it's anyone's guess really.
In my opinion, I can think anyone can move it, once they have enough power to do so. The Spirit Bomb is just like any other ki attack, just that it's made up of other life form's energy.

Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
You're right Super Vegito, it's just in the anime that he's shown moving the Genki Dama against Goku's push. In the manga he's shown holding it in place, but doesn't appear able to push it forward by any degree.
Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
In this scan the lines of action is drawn that way, that would imply he is moving forwards(3rd panel)Darkprince410 wrote:You're right Super Vegito, it's just in the anime that he's shown moving the Genki Dama against Goku's push. It doesn't matter though, since it obliterated him anyways. The only reason why he could move it was because of Goku not being able to unleash the full power of the attack, because he was exhausted.
Re: Could Boo Move the Genki Dama?
I still don't see how he's moving it.
