I just got the DBZ Vizbig 8 & 9 and I've got to say, that I'm really impressed by every aspect of them!!(well except for the censoring and "Vegerot").
As Rereboy already has shown, they are enourmous!! And the quality of the paper is through the roof!!
It's so ridiculous to compare it to my old tankoubons, since they look like somebody took a leak on them compared to the VizBigs
Definetly worth a buy, if you ask me!

What are the odds, I just bought that a few days ago at my local best buy lol, the price sticker said $19.99 but when it rang up it said $4.99, I was surprised.

Just picked up DBZ VizBig #9, the final volume, today. I now officially own the entire manga in one consistent format, and am happy. Also, Vegetto on the spine.

One thing puzzles and worries me though. It looks to me like these two pages...

Image

... Were originally in color. The entire rest of that chapter is. Now I don't remember much talk from when this volume first hit, but someone please tell me that Viz didn't keep all the rest of the color in these two volumes' worth only to omit it in the very last two pages of the very last chapter?!

No shit? Seriously.....Same here...price tag $19.99. I paid just over $5. But the reason I paid this price was because I had over 500 points in rewards for Best Buy. And that brings the price down

It's not just your copy. I wish I could tell you they didn't print the last two pages in black and white. But they did. I'd really love to hear the reasoning of the person who decided to do that. To save a (probably relatively small) amount of money? To try to keep more demand for another edition?

I can only hope it's all to make an impending "Perfect Edition" release with all the color retained, corrected names, and completely unedited art look even better.

...And then maybe Mister Boo himself will fly out from my right armpit and magically turn all the world's WMDs into food and thus simultaneously end war and world hunger.

Assuming by "Perfect Edition" you mean the Kanzenban then the very last page still wouldn't be released in colour.
Though everything else would really make up for it. :P

Banpresto Legend of Saiyan series 2. Prince Vegeta!
Love this figure, now that I've seen first hand the size and quality of it I will generalize this to the rest of the line and go ahead and collect the rest. Amazing detail right down to including the Saiyan Royal Crest on his armor. SICK figure! Go get the set I definitely recommend them!

The TV specials Double Feature. I know I'll regret buying it in the near(?) future if a Dragon Box version got announced.
