Future Trunks: The Last Warrior
One day, about 10 years ago, I was browsing the internet, looking for a good fanfic, & I stumble upon a fanfic called The Last Warrior written by Nora Jemison, who is now a rather well known fantasy author. The story told of Future Trunks' life after he went back to his timeline, & of an alternate dimension in which Frieza never existed, & the Saiyans ruled the Galaxy.
I have read a lot of fanfics over the years, but I've got to say that this one was, by far, the best fanfic I've ever read, let alone one of the best stories i've ever read, period. The characters were so fleshed out that they put the manga/anime to shame.
Then, about a year ago, I decided to look for it again, as I remembered that there had been a sequel. Unfortunately, I discovered that after she became a full-fledged author, Nora took her fanfics down. I refused to give up searching, & eventually, I found the Wayback Machine.
The Wayback Machine is an internet site that makes copies of web pages on a certain date & saves them for future viewing. That way, sites that were deleted years ago are still able to be viewed. To my delight, they had stored a complete copy of Nora's site.
So, without further rambling, here it is, possibly one the greatest DBZ fanfics ever written: http://web.archive.org/web/200212091512 ... m/TLW.html
And it's sequel: http://web.archive.org/web/200212091512 ... ircle.html
Be warned, these are not single chapter short stories. These are long 20-plus chapter epics.

Here's another of her works:
http://web.archive.org/web/200212091512 ... rosat.html
This one is about Trunks & Vegeta's time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. It's only 9 chapters, so it'd be a quicker read than the other 2.

C'mon guys, no thoughts? as least one of you had to attempt to read it.

If no-one has anything to say, no-one has anything to say. They either didn't bother reading it (I didn't), or found nothing worth posting after having read it.MalikArcanum wrote:C'mon guys, no thoughts? as least one of you had to attempt to read it.

Re: Future Trunks: The Last Warrior
I haven't read them (yet, though I may -- I did only just now find this thread, after all), but perhaps part of the lack of response is because if the stories are as long as you say, it's taking people a while to get through them, or they've been too absorbed in the story to come back and say anything?
Admittedly though (having not looked at the stories yet myself) saying "20 chapters" doesn't automatically mean length. I wrote a 30-chapter fanfic about five years ago (blegh -- I pretend that it doesn't exist) but it was only 200 pages long using Word's standard settings. I just finished a 9-part fic (okay, including a prologue and epilogue which were both super short) that was only 19 pages.
But then there could be (and surely are) 5-chapter stories that number 75 or 100 pages (and so, by a linear scale, a 20-chapter story could be 400 pages), and so on.
(Just a thought, if you were trying to convey with any accuracy the approximate length of the stories, a different measure might be more appropriate. What exactly that is, I don't know. If each chapter is the size of a short novel, I could see why no one has come back to post yet!)
In any case, though, I've pulled up these stories to marinate in my list of tabs for a while, and might start reading 'em at some point in the near future (if you're concerned that your post hasn't reached anyone!).

Re: Future Trunks: The Last Warrior
I saved them all on Word so I can read them at my leisure, just in case the archives go screwy (I've had it happen many times in the past). I did read "My Three Sons" though, it was great. Quick question though, Part 2 of Full Circle was missing from the archives and I was wondering you had it saved somewhere maybe?
This will never not be my sig:
VegettoEX wrote:"Snoop Lion" is just a character he's playing for his reggae album and documentary. Him saying that it's his new name is all part of the character.
I can't believe this is on-topic.

Unfortunately I don't, but I've re-read both of them recently, & you don't lose much by the exclusion of that chapter.

Um so, I really hope this doesn't count as necro-posting, as the thread just got pushed back to page 2.
About 10 years ago I read the same fanfic series as you did
Anyway, I happen to have all of Full Circle saved, including Ch. 2, which I have uploaded in .doc format here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ht05gf9tqql3o31
Hope that helps somebody out ^^.

Sorry to double post, but I don't think this would get seen otherwise. Anyone know where the sequel to "Full Circle" called "Before and After" is? I Googled for a while and couldn't find it.

You're welcome.Great Saiyaman I wrote:Thank you. Now to read it.
There are also several other side stories on her site, if you want to read them.

Apparently, she now has a blog where she posts her fiction:

... Yeah, I signed up just to post this.
I liked "The Last Warrior" that much. :p
