Jump Super Stars Character List
Nintendo's official Jump Super Stars site has a pretty extensive list of characters that are going to be in the game.

It seems there are going to be quite a few Dragon Ball characters, both playable and support. It's great to see Piccolo and Krillin as playable characters.
The best news of all is that Dr. Slump is also included in this game. Arale and the Gatchans are playable. There is also another character that I'm not familiar with. Too bad Senbei is only support. This is certainly great news and also the final push for me to actually get this game.
KIIIIIIIIIIIIN!

That'd be Dr. Mashirito, Senbei's nemesis and the manga counterpart of Toriyama's old editor, Kazuhiko Torishima. He says "Botsu" ("Rejected!") all the time, because of the real life editor's supposed fickleness; he was cast into the series because he kept rejecting all of Toriyama's designs for the character he would become.Mike wrote:The best news of all is that Dr. Slump is also included in this game. Can't believe Saint Seiya isn't there either, but Fist of the Nort Star would be kinda difficult, seeing the mangaka has his own publishing company now.
Anyway, I ordered J!SS a while ago, using the cheapest shipping, so I hope to get this game at the beginning of next week...
Nope, L and Light & Ryuuk are just support characters ["summons"]L is a playable character? I think I just wet myself.

Ha! As crazy as that sounds, it fits perfectly in the wacky Dr. Slump world. Would you happen to know what volume he first appears in? Also would this editor be the same one who rejected all of Toriyama's Android Saga villains? That'd be Dr. Mashirito, Senbei's nemesis and the manga counterpart of Toriyama's old editor, Kazuhiko Torishima. I'm not 100% but it would make sense if the playable characters had the big pictures while the support characters had the little images at the bottom.Zackarotto wrote:Is that how it is? What does that make Misa?Ash wrote:Nope, L and Light & Ryuuk are just support characters ["summons"]L is a playable character? I think I just wet myself.
Misa is a Help character, which gives your character a attributeboost or something like that. [I.e. speedboost]
Playable characters can have 4 blocks till 7 blocks koma, while Support characters have 2 and 3 blocks koma. Help characters have 1 block koma. Depending on the size of, a character can have different attacks.

I agree that they should have at least had Kinnikuman Suguru, if not Kinnikuman Tarou... that's a classic Jump! manga right there...
And Robo-Toriyama would fit perfectly. And would probably play better than in Tobal.

Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Sorry to bump this thread but I've had this game for more than a week so I can talk about it. First of all, it really shows that Nintendo developped the game, the game really feels like a "Super Smash Bros" game, gameplay wise.
The story mode is fun, I liked how they made the "Dragon Ball" stage the final stage of the "main story mode". That's a nice touch. I also liked how they adapted the characters in order to make them look good together (à la Capcom vs SNK).
Creating your own team can be a little hard at first if you don't speak Japanese but once you get the hang of it, you can't wait to unlock new cards to create new decks.
One of the things I didn't like though is using the d-pad with the touch screen thing on your thumb at the same time. It takes some time getting used to it.

The résistance dies but never gives up.
Nintendo didn't develop the game, they're just the publisher, Ganbarion is the developer. [One Piece Grand Battle]
_Still_ waiting for the game to arrive together with Dragon Ball Advance Adventure, though it shipped on the fourth. ;_;
