Re: Favourite Female Character in the Dragonball Universe
I've started a deviantart club based on my favorite three DBZ females. Android 18, Bulma, and Chichi. But if I had to pick one I have to go with Chichi. She is hot when she's bitchy.
I like a woman with fire in her belly!

Bulma, but only from Android saga onwards. She was too bitchy, annoying and nagging before, but became more likeable after she had Trunks.

Bra of course!
Second to her would be Bulma. She never fails to make me laugh.

Bulma.
She's most useful and the most fun out of all the female characters.

Bulma and #18 because they transcend being sexist stereotypes.

"Catty bitch" and "ice queen who gets defrosted by a hot beef injection" aren't sexist stereotypes?Darkbloom wrote:Bulma and #18 because they transcend being sexist stereotypes.

I said "transcends". They do have stereotypes woven into their character, but there's more to them than just those qualities.
Although I do find all the female characters to be abhorrent(in the way they are portrayed), they are the ones who bother me the least.
Re: Favourite Female Character in the Dragonball Universe
I can maybe see justification for Bulma, but what does 18 do that transcends her stereotype?

My favorite female character is of course Bulma... Especially in Dragon Ball, and Namek Saga in DBZ!!

What the Helheim?!
Re: Favourite Female Character in the Dragonball Universe
Either 18 or Bulma. 18 because she is the only female character who ever really held a candle to the enormously rising powers of the Z-Senshi. And she's also just a pretty cool girl. I like Bulma because, well, she's just a really funny ojou-sama type character.

The woman who gives little Kuririn a pen to draw on a rock.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

That mermaid that Goku got for Kame-senin... Naw ok I'll say Lunch because she knows how to deal with punks (her mean side).
"Perfect" is the enemy of the good. True for Cell and true for real life.

Yeah, let´s hear it for C18 people.MR.Mark wrote:Beat the shit out of an egotistical prick.Rocketman wrote:but what does 18 do that transcends her stereotype?

Re: Favourite Female Character in the Dragonball Universe
No, I'm pretty sure that's still part of the Ice Queen archetype; or rather "beats down/rejects the strong so it's all the more satisfying when Normalman dethaws her".MR.Mark wrote:Beat the shit out of an egotistical prick.
