Has Anyone Visited the Kai Boards on Nicktoons?

Oh Gamefaqs sometimes I miss that place so much (I was a major poster from 2004 - 2006). Yeah I doubt these kids know anything about Dragon Ball outside Kai since their Mom or Dad won't let them buy the DVD or Movies because they are uncut . Back in the 90's I would play M rated games and watch violent movies, and my Parents would not care as long if I don't act the stuff that I see on TV. Even most kids I knew would play Resident Evil, and AVP when I was school.

Wow I'm starting sound odd, and I'm not even 20 years old yet .

I could post a bunch of Youtube and Gamefaqs comments in this thread and everyone here would be none the wiser.

We need a funny DBZ comment thread with funny comments from other sites like MVC, GF, and Youtube. Moviecodec has some of the worst Dragon Ball fans out there.

ssj2 is the 2nd transformation of super saiyan and ssj3 is the 3rd tranformation of super saiyan!!!!!In 2011 we might be learning about that ok.Oh,and just so you know theres also a super saiyan 4 and 5 transformation!!!!(0h,and one more thing,the j in ssj means Japan.)

...How in the hell does someone gain at least enough cursory familiarity with the series to know what Super Saiyan 2-4 are, but still end up confused enough to think there's a Super Saiyan 5? How does this happen?

Also, Super Saiyan Japan. I'm going to start using that.

And now this has turned into a kid-bashing Thread.

These kids are not the only ones that are asking "dumb" questions. There was a whole Thread about the things that we got wrong when we were young and we looked back at it and laughed. That's what happens when some kid reads things off Google and misinterprets them, then tells his other friends who misinterpret that, and the downward spiral happens. Someone googled all the DBZ stuff when I was a kid and told me that Super Saiyan Goku (from the old Pioneer intro) was Vegetto and he was another being trapped inside Goku's body. Others claimed that there was sex scenes between Vegeta and Bulma and whatnot. Turned out to not be true, yes? Or how about when I was a kid, some other kid told me that 100 years after GT, Goku is in a coma as Super Saiyan 5 while Goku Jr. looked for a cure to get him out of the coma.

This stuff happens. It happened in the past, it happens now.

I just hope nobody over the age of 14 goes to those Boards to show off what they know about DBZ. That would be pathetic. I can just see some 20 year old sitting at home going, "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! THESE KIDS ARE STOOOOPID!!!"

Personally I'd take a bunch of kids posting those threads then the common place "LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOW GOKU'S SHIRT IS SLIGHTLY MORE BLUE THEN IT SHOULD BE ON THESE 4 FRAMES, I SURE HOPE SOMEONE GOT FIRED FOR THAT BLUNDER!" arguments with..."adult" fans.

I wish these kids would just watch the dang show and not ruin it! I never went online to look things up, just talked to friends and family about it. Its as if ruining DB Kai will ruin their lives to me lol. To watch my favorite anime with less filler as a kid.... ohhh envy.

Also I'm glad to see (at least on the forums) that it looks to be an equal (if more?) female presence watching DBZK even if its...because their talking about who's hotter . When I was younger It was guys DBZ, womam Powerpuff Girls.

I'm actually surprised no ones mentioned that the Nickelodeon Forums have not changed since like 1997. I'm 20 and just clicking on those links brought back memories of talking about Invader Zim and Hey Arnold.

Don't try to tell these kids the truth! It will disturb their natural development as a fanboy/girl. Let them learn on their own, even if "Super Saiyan Japan" disregards the fact that English and Japanese are different languages. They'll know eventually.

I still think it's really great and fun that these kids are getting into the series, and it's even better to see how many of them are unaware of the entire plot, or only know little tidbits. That's great.

It's just unfortunate that there's enough misinformation out there to both inform someone about plot points like Super Saiyan 2-4, and also make them think there's a Super Saiyan 5. It just baffles me. This isn't ancient mythology; it's a twenty-year-old, world-popular anime/manga series. How can things possibly get that muddled?

But still, everything on that board continues to be really cute/nostalgic. I would never go in there and correct them, and I hope no one else here does either.

My cousin bought her four boys a PS3 for Christmas and had me come over and set it up for them. I decided to log in to my PSN account and download all of the arcade games I've bought onto their console so they could play them too. When we were going thru the list of everything I had downloaded from the PS Store, the two Raging Blast demos were in there and her two oldest boys said, "I don't like Dragon Ball Z Kai, I think it's weird." Really made me sad. They look up to me and always want me to play with them, ride bikes or throw the football around when I come back home so I tried to tell them that DBZ was on TV every day after school when I was their age and sometimes I would even ditch football practice to come home and watch it. But it didn't work. I figure I'll try again in a couple years when they're older. Maybe if I teach them how to throw a punch and handle themselves during a fight, DBZ will be more appealing to them.
