And EDIT: In my first power level list for Trunks I gave him < 100 mil. meaning him being able to fight back against less than ½ 17 seems more than possible this way, but whatever I still think Cooler could own Trunks, if he had the chance to go full power.

Piccolo definitely does leave it up in the air. He says they either improved much more than anticipated, or the Androids were simply not as strong as Trunks had predicted. So, yeah, totally up in the air here.

Base Goku (at least after his zenkai / recovery power-up) is more powerful than Frieza in movie 5.

Final form Cooler then destroys Goku in what is widely thought of as a Kaioken x 20 attack.

Final form Cooler is well into the billions. I never saw Trunks anywhere near that strong, so I'll go with Cooler on this one, easily.

I always assumed Son Goku in that movie was after he met Trunks (who was CLEARLY weaker than him) and trained hard for a while. I also assumed Goku used a Kaio-ken x20 against Coola and put his power during that at least as high as Freeza's full power. So judging by how Goku's Kaio-ken x20 Kamehameha seemed to be about as threatening as plain air and how he managed to create an attack that overpowered SSjin Goku for a bit, I'd say he'd utterly stomp the shit out of Trunks.

I always assumed that Goku in that movie was from an alternate timeline where he killed Freeza on Namek and escaped to Earth, and that this movie is not long after the battle with Freeza. Why? Because Gohan looks the same in both age and appearance as when he was on Namek (he looked older when Trunks came to Earth) and Coola mentions nothing about his father being killed.

Here is the conversation on the rocks between true form Cooler and base Goku after their fight, this is just prior to Cooler transforming into his final form.

Cooler flat out implies Base Goku is exhibiting powers greater than Freeza, which would at least be in the range of Super Saiyan Goku as seen on planet Namek.

Now here the crazy part part, After that, Cooler transforms, and Goku uses what is widely accepted as a 20x Kaioken/Kamehameha against him, and Cooler flies straight through it, without even having a scratch on him.

Do the math, and you can see Cooler has an absurd power, and is dozens of times more powerful than Frieza.
