Yeah, that happens with me too. Just ctrl+alt+delete and close it with your task manager.AnimeMaakuo wrote:Castor Troy wrote:Definition of an ISO: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-an-iso-image.htm
It's basically your entire 8.5GB dvd as one file.
For example, if you ripped your DVD as an ISO, you'll have a "DBZ_20.iso" file that is 7-8GB large which is the entire DVD.
VOBs (Video Object) are the video files in your dvd inside the VIDEO_TS folder. Just put in one of your Dbox discs in your computer, access it and go into the VIDEO_TS folder and you'll see the VOB files. You can play them with vlc media player.
DVD decrypter can either rip your DVD as a plain iso file or all of the VOB files from the disc into a directory.
If you just want to archive the discs, then rip them as iso files and you can easily burn the iso files to blank dual layer discs and have perfect copies.
If you want to keep the video files on your computer to watch whenever you want or use them for video editing projects, then you can rip the VOB files to a directory. I would highly recommend calling the directory "DBZ Dbox Disc 20" or whatever you want. Most dvd burning programs like Roxio and Nero can easily detect all of the VOB files in the directory and burn them as a perfect copy of the disc. I actually recommend this method more so you can not only watch your files, but also edit them in any editing program. Getting the VOBs to be editable is a completely different task in itself, but there are guides that you can find for that.
This is really only the basic explanation and I haven't even touched the surface. There's literally a million things I've left out, but once you get the hang of DVD ripping, archiving, burning, editing, etc, you'll realize how incredibly valuable it is in preserving and even making fun stuff with your dvds.
All of this is probably extremely overwhelming, but take it one step at a time and I'll try to look for more detailed guides when I'm not tired after work and stuff. Good luck!
DVD Decrypter keeps giving me this message when I exit. Is something wrong? Failed to set data for "DVDDecrypterPlayDVDMovieOnArrival"
I don't use it anymore personally, but it's the only "free" option.
