Different Cover Images For the Same Game?!

Post by Saiyan » Tue Aug 16, 2005 11:04 pm

Why is that, from what I see, all of the DBZ games introduced to us from Japan get different cover images?

I personally like the Japanese covers better, and it looks to me like those covers would attract more people to buying them, so why don't American distributors use them?

Actually, even the european covers sound more atractive than the american ones.

It's very weird why certian covers and things are used in certian countries as opposed to others, and it all boils down to quick recognition, since it's supposed to work like "Oh, X many X's are coming out, so we'd better make sure this Dragonball/whatever X is obviously Dragonball X so no one can miss it!".

It has it's reasons.

Maybe the Japanese cover art person doesn't give a textless version to the American cover art person, so he'd have to make a new image. :D

The Tenkaichi cover for the Australian version looks identical with the japanese cover of Sparking!. Perhaps the US will get the same cover. I hope so. It's really good.
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".
