I'm dissapointed that there is little sign of IGT. I'm sure I said it before, but loved that aspect in the Budokai games. Also it seems you can select a fusion from the character select screen. I wonder if it'll play like a normal character or Gotenks in Super Sonic Warrior.

Anyway, I'm happy to see Roshi is a playable character, and frankly about bloody time! I just wish Demon King Piccolo was also a playable character. Though I wouldn't mind knowing how Roshi and Tao Pie Pie will fly.

And I noticed Adult Gohan has Mosenko (sp?). I think it's great they're giving him this move as I did feel he was a bit lacking move wise in DBZB3.

I'm looking forward to this game's release.

I understand how you feel. No IGT in a Dbz game stinks, but we must get over it. The game will still be great in my opinion.

I agree that with or without them the game looks like it'll be the best PS2 DBZ game. But I felt IGT reflected the anime battles better than starting in a powered up form. Most of the times the characters began a fight in their base form before powering up, just like in DBZB1 - 3. But still, no point crying over spilt milk.

That's true as well. The part that well suck is when I am getting my butt kicked, I won't be able to power up when I am in trouble.

My theory is that Demon King Piccolo will be an alternate costume for Piccolo and Roshi will use that flying turtle to fly. I too am curious about Tao Pai Pai.

I really hope Demon King Piccolo and Omega Shenron are in this game. I mean, you can't leave out King Piccolo, he would be the main person i'd like to fight with Kid Goku. And they can't leave out Shenron, having Bebi and Super 17 and not Shenron would be dumb. Also, i hope Roshis alternate costume is Jackie Chun. =P

If King Piccolo is left out, there's no reason for his ultimate (the attack that was his ultimate in Budokai 3)! Yes, leaving out Omega Shenron would be dumb (I mean, they announced SSJ4 Gogeta!). As I said in another post, Jackie Chun is most likely his alt. costume, so don't worry  .

Perhaps they're planning to use Piccolo Jr (the DBZ piccolo) as Piccolo Daimaoh; in DBZ Hyper Dimension, they used SSJ Majin Vegeta for all SSJ Vegeta related battles. It was a SNES game of course, but, well... you get the idea.

And "No IGT" simply means I can have a "17 absorbed Cell" against a "Super (bulky) Vegeta" from the beginning to the end of the match, not worrying whether suddenly Vegeta is going to turn into SSJ4 and "ruin" the re-creation of the duel match I wanted to have (as Cell).

These are nitcpicks of course, but heck, Atari gave us the right to have nitpicks, since it makes (or rather, pays to make) such kick-ass DBZ games!!

I don't think that would work out too well. They may have been able to get away with that back in the days of the SNES (and I do remember playing an Japanese version of HD years ago, complete with Majin Vegetas, wrong coloured Planet Namek, and text I couldn't understand :P ) but today that would just be considered cheap.

No objection, I'm just saying that they could do it. :D

Actually this way will reflect the anime more since transformations rarely occured mid-battle. They usually fight, then stop fighting, talk, then transform, then start fighting again.

The only fighters from previous Budokais apparently not confirmed yet are:

Cellin/Krell
Yamhan
Gotan
Kaioshin
Kabitoshin
Xing Shinron
Uub

Yeah, Kaioshin is also out, isn't he? He may have been a powerful character, but he never actually fought anyone (at least, as far as I remember), so I guess they think it's no big deal to leave him out. Or perhaps, they didn't have enough time.

So the Budokai Character Roster tradition goes on, with Uub, Kaioshin and Omega Shenron being the left-outs.

Kaioshin fought against Majin buu, after he hatched and smacked Gohan around.

Both, he then staggers around looking for Gohan hoping he is still alive. He gets his ass kicked bad :D .

Kaibito didn't do any fighting, did he? As a matter of fact Kibito didn't so much as throw a punch, either, now that I think about it (of course, he's never been playable...)

I always thought Kaibito was a cool character, but he's worthless in DBZ 2 & 3. All he gets is a stats increase, but no new moves or anything. And he didn't have many moves to begin with.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Nonetheless, the fact that the programmers include characters who have done little in the storyline is a solid proof that Dimps (and Spike) THINK of the fans, rather than simply making a cheap cash-in game (cough cough Final Bout cough).

The fact that people would like to play as Kabito, even though he is a minor character, and the fact that Dimps satisfied these fans (among many other frans too) is a good sign.

I love the fact that minor players of the DBZ saga like Dodoria make an appearance. I love minor characters as much as the major ones. Diversity brings such a sweet taste in my mouth... almost as sweet as a creamy chocolate cake with rock-hard cherries.

This game seems to eliminate the fake attack names that were used in the previous Budokai games, well at least they renamed them to what it could actually be. Instead of Ginyu's Milky Cannon, it's Full Power Energy Wave. I remember Budokai 1 using names for the Renzoku Kikoha by calling them Meteor Flash and others. Now it seems to be called Full Power Energy Blast Volley, as shown in one of the IGN videos with Gohan fighting Piccolo.

I dunno. I kinda liked "Parmesan Shower", myself.

I agree about the minor characters. A lot of the minor characters were the most interesting. I've been waiting an eternity to play as Jeice.. my favorite character in the entire series. I was kinda hoping we'd see Kewi (Kui? Kiwi?) as well, but I guess even for a minor character, he didn't do much.. alternate costume for another one of Frieza's henchmen, maybe?

On a related note, I was kinda hoping we'd get the "Generic Helmet-wearing Frieza Henchmen" as a playable character. You had Saibamen from the Vegeta Saga and Cell Jr. for the Cell Saga, so why not an expendable enemy from the Frieza Saga? Could have played exactly like those two, I think. Arm Cannon as a super, and when one is defeated, another one could take his place.
