Can anyone help me with the chatroom?

So I got an app on my Android called AndroIRC. It lets you talk on a chat room on the phone. So I'm trying to connect to irc.rizon.net, but it normally fails. At first I thought this was because I didn't put the port number in, but it seemed to do it automatically so I figured that wasn't the problem. However, I heard all channels will work on all servers, so I just got on one of the preset ones and tried to join #daizenshuu. I input a couple words and no one seemed to respond, so I don't think it worked, since I figure at least one person would be on. Any advice? The app works mostly like mIRC. Thanks!

There's your problem, because that's completely false. Technically someone could make a #daizenshuu anywhere, but it's only our channel on Rizon. Connecting to DALnet or Quakenet or something won't get you to us. For a web analogy, it's like expecting a daizenshuu.html on Google.com to be the same as a daizenshuu.html on Yahoo.com.

But it sounds like your problem is just with connecting to Rizon, so maybe you could check Rizon's forums for help.

I've had difficulty getting onto Rizon on my phone too. I think its an issue with the phone carrier's network.

I suppose you could try connecting to Rizon via a different server. I used to connect using irc.pantsuland.net for some reason.

It just doesn't seem to accept the Rizon servers in general.
I posted a thread on their forums, but it seems pretty empty...

Try connecting to eu.iso.rizon.net. That one works for me.
