I agree. If you want accurate reviews of DBZ games, this guy's your man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBA_MTKS-3k
He does "top ten ultimates" and stuff like that.

I love Omega as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't call it accurate. He reviews games for fans of the games. Not necessarily for your average gamer or non-fan. Like most DBZ gamers, myself included, I believe he would accept a turd wrapped in a DBZ case.

I enjoy these games for what they are, fun fighting games made for the fans. I think RB2 was much better then the first and I would not mind seeing a 3rd (and final) Raging Blast game.

I think that's a bit harsh. He's a good reviewer, who does make criticisms of DBZ games. If a game's bad, he'll admit it. And, of course, he reviews games for fans of the games. Most people who buy DBZ games are DB fans themselves!Innagadadavida wrote:I love Omega as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't call it accurate. He reviews games for fans of the games. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
It seems as if this topic has died. Should we start ranting again? For example, trunks. For some reason, dimps/spike/whoever never realise that there are two forms above super saiyan that trunks uses. The first is ascended saiyan, which increases muscle mass a bit but causes stress on the body. This is the form Vegeta uses against cell. Trunks also used it. Then there is ultra saiyan. Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks all had this form but only Trunks was stupid enough to use it because it increases your muscle size even larger than ascended saiyan, causing even more stress and slowing down the user to the point that they'd be better off as a regular super saiyan. For some reason, companies only give trunks his Ultra saiyan form in games, the useless one, and call it "super trunks" while calling vegeta's ascended saiyan form "super vegeta", leading people to believe they're the same form. I think the reason for this is people think they ARE the same form. The reason for this is that we never see trunks transforming into an ascended saiyan. He arrives at the battlefield in his normal state, and when cell tries to absorb android 18, trunks appears in front of him in his ascended saiyan form, but because we didn't see the transformation, people think that he's still a regular super saiyan, and that when he transforms from ascended to ultra, they think he's going from super to ascended. I don't see how it's hard to create a hair style that's a mix between super saiyan trunks and ultra saiyan trunks, put it on ultra saiyan trunks head, and put that on ascended saiyan vegeta's body. The funny thing is that in RB2, when trunks goes from super saiyan to ultra saiyan, he looks extra buffed up in the transformation cutscene. Either they're trying to make it look like his muscles are getting bigger as he transforms, or, less likely, they made an ascended saiyan model for the transformation scene but they couldn't be stuffed to make it as a character.
Just my two cents.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
This is because the Ultra Super Saiyan is Trunk's signature thing. Like you said, he is the only one who uses it. Also, even though he could just stay an Ascended Super Saiyan he never used it in the manga or show. He just jumped from Super Saiyan to Ultra Super Saiyan when fighting Cell. So for video game sake, Vegeta gets the Ascended Super Saiyan for his signature transformation while Trunks gets the Ultra Super Saiyan. Besides, and I'm not trying to troll here but, if Spike decided to use both there wouldn't really be a difference between the two forms. Again not trolling but, what kind of different attacks would each form get; do we really need another "random ki spam attack" and "random charge attack" special set?ssjtrunks51 wrote:It seems as if this topic has died. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Well, I definitely agree with that last bit, but in my opinion Trunks DID use Ascended saiyan. When he's trying to stop cell from taking android 18, he uses the form. People thinks he's still a regular super saiyan because they didn't see him transform into an ascended saiyan, but they didn't see him transform into a regular super saiyan either. He transformed offscreen. My proof that he was an ascended saiyan was his power: He was nearly as strong as ascended saiyan vegeta when we saw him attack cell, and he could hurt vegeta easily (vegeta wasn't expecting that attack from his trunks, but if trunks had been regular super saiyan, it would barely even budge vegeta).
This is probably just me wanted to get another form for my second favourite incarnation of my favourite character.

Trunks never attacks Cell, he only blocked Cell, he didn't even touch him and Vegeta didn't even had any scratch on him, when we saw him came out of the smoke.

Actually, we do see Trunks transform into a Super Saiyan Grade 2. He blocks 2nd-form Cell's path as a regular Super Saiyan (he transformed off-screen), but when Cell sees #18 and flies after her, Trunks goes to SSj Grade 2 and flies after him. This happens in both the manga and anime (although it's only the anime that Trunks attacks 2nd-form Cell).

Oh yes, that was my mistake sorry. For those wondering, it's on page 110 of volume 32(the American version at least). In any case, the other form is more of his signature form and this form would be pointless to have in a game.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Actually, we do see Trunks transform into a Super Saiyan Grade 2. Not really. At least for consistency's sake, don't miss out one form of Trunks and skip to the next one. And they might as well, especially since they've put in even more insignificant characters like Tarble and Coola's Armoured Squadron.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Oh yes, that was my mistake sorry. But then they might as well give both forms to a Goku too. It's just waste in my opinion and one less wasted character with generic move-sets is a step in the right direction.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Not really. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
But Goku never would have used those forms if he hadn't needed to show them to Gohan, whereas Trunks used both of the forms in combat. Speaking of extremely confusing super saiyan forms, what about full-power super saiyan? For those who don't know, Goku and gohan used it. It's not really a form, but mastery of regular super saiyan, allowing them to be super saiyans without using energy. That way, in battle they can use the energy that is required to go super saiyan, and use it to increase their power level instead. There should be an item in the game that can be equipped to super saiyan 1s that changes the hair colour to be a bit lighter, changes the eye rims to be round (in goku's family's case), and if you start the battle as a super saiyan, you start with a full yellow ki gauge at the start of the battle, as well as reduced ki consumption for all moves. But if you go into high tension, you go back to normal appearance and power is increased.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I'm not sure how many Goku's there are in RB2(don't have the game), but if you think about it the Super Saiyan form for Goku(end) in BT3 is essentially "full-power super Saiyan." A "full-powered Super Saiyan" is just a Saiyan whose mastered the form to the point where ascending doesn't put a strain on the body. I really wouldn't call it a transformation, it's just mastering the skill. Since they stopped making games where transforming drains your energy, there wouldn't be a point in having this. Basically once you transform in any of the Spike games, you stay that way until you chose to transform back yourself.ssjtrunks51 wrote:But Goku never would have used those forms if he hadn't needed to show them to Gohan, whereas Trunks used both of the forms in combat.
