After seeing tonight's ep, I have to say, similar to his Piccolo, Sabat's Vegeta sounds better when he's evil, at least now. During season 3, he was still new to the character. But does anyone else agree with me on that?

The joke is, it sounds like Grand Kai is telling Pikkon to go to Hell. I think "go to Hell" would be considered a swear. You certainly wouldn't tell your mother to do that. And since they added Goku's line of "That's not very nice..", it was obvious FUNimation wanted the viewers to make that connection, even though technically that's not what Grand Kai meant.

In that case, he meant the place.
In case anyone's wondering, last night's "Damn You!!!" doesn't count since it was in the recap.

He's definitely better evil. In season 3, he was trying to imitate Brian Drummond's Vegeta for a while.

When Gohan was getting the shit beat out of him and Kuririn was waiting to use the Genki Dama, he said "Damn, Gohan's getting trashed!" or something along those lines. I had to rewind it to make sure I didn't mishear "dang".

Tonight, the battle ends. And still going great. I still wish I could've heard Faulconer's "Ginyu Transformation" playing when Vegeta got hit by the Spirit Bomb. Would've fit nicely.

Heh, it totally would have. I didn't think about that. Though I probably would have ended up rolling my eyes at it. I think that piece becomes a little pretentious after a few times.

Krillin imitating Yajarobe, Roshi mistaking Bulma for a hot nurse, Mr. Popo freaking out Bulma and Goku and Bulma yelling. This is priceless :P

Edit: I guess the Krillin/Yajarobe thing was hilarious in the original (same voice actor :P ).

Oh yeah, BULMA'S A RACIST!!!!!! :P

Not only that, but she also gets horney when pacing, anyone else notice those "sounds" after she destroyed the saiyan space-pod? I swear it sounded like she was having sex. Though in FUNi's voicing booths, anything could happen during sessions :P

That didn't come to my mind. At least they took out the corny "Barbie and Ken news anchors" crack.

I found Mr. Sean Schemmel particularly funny in last night's ep, he really showed why Goku has such a bad case of hospital phobeia later in the series (screaming like a girl was an understatment). Quite impressive work from him considering he pulled double duty on last night's episode, anyone who taped it, listen to the news announcer (the Ocean version named him Milton Monroe), too bad Schemmel couldn't have been casted as Turles instead of Milton Monroe. :(

Here's my three comments for tonight's episodes:
1. So, this is the boring Namek Saga. Fine so far.
2. I felt sorry for Krillin's hat, first burned by acid and then forever lost in space. :(
3. Bulma in her underwear :)

To me the Namek saga is easily one of the best by far, I don't think it's boring, well, in Japanese I mean.

You'll see Kuririn's hat return later, don't worry.

Now that I think of it Funi editied loads out of these old episodes, now they're going to make money from it, the bastards.

I agree with Bejita. The Namek saga is cool in that it has politics: Vegeta vs. Freeza in a war for the dragonballs. While it has battles, they aren't huge like in the rest of the series.

I have a question about the episode on Wednesday when they took off from Earth. What the hell was up with Bulma? Was her attitude about the same in the Japanese version, and I also don't own vol. 5. Was she in a really bitchy mood, that time of the month, or what?
