Well the video states, "Arguments need to be based on the manga" which GT was not part of. Although the title is kinda misleading, since the title is
Anime-Manga Cup, but if it's only manga based facts it kinda defeats the purpose of having Anime in the title.
It's because people who have only seen the anime are allowed to participate in the cup, as long as they know what's canon, and what's not.

Yes, considering Dragon Ball Kai is little more than a re-run of an old show that has already seen countless re-runs on Japanese television, and yet still stays consistently in the Top 10.

I was more so referring to sales, in which One Piece domestically accounts for 30% of Toei's profits, whereas DB raked in at 50%. Worldwide as I recall was something around 74-75%. So as a franchise, it isn't really rivaled in that department (Unless there's been an update, which I'd like to think I would have seen on Kanzentai).
