Vegeta and the 4 star dragon

Post by buffninja91 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 1:30 pm

Just curious, but I was watching the episode of GT where Vegeta tries his luck at fighting the Four star dragon and gets pummeled pretty quickly. Now I know he was a bit fatigued at this point, but wasn't the dragon also holding back? And judging by how Goku fared when they fought, they were all in a similar realm of power even at full strength. I would like to say Vegeta would win in a fight at full power and all, mostly because I don't think Vegeta was that far off from Goku, but honestly the dragon has a pretty good chance at winning as well. My best guess would be that they're even. Any thoughts?

GT is too inconsistent with itself.

I'm gonna break the mold here and dare to provide you with an actual response.

Si Xing (4-Star) wanted to come off as convincing as possible for Yi Xing Long; both Goku and Vegeta mentioned his overwhelming speed, so it's obvious that punches weren't being pulled. SSJ4 Vegeta was weaker than SSJ4 Goku, anyway, seeing as how a full-powered former merged with a weakened latter without either of the two adjusting their ki. I wouldn't say that Vegeta and Goku were in the same realm of power any moreso than I would say SSJ2 Pre-Majin Vegeta and SSJ2 Goku were in the same realm of power.

True, and thanks for an actual response. But then again Goku had undergone the whole surpassed limits thing, so a weakened version of that may not be a good indicator of his normal full strength. Like under normal conditions, Vegeta and Goku may not have been too wide apart, but since Goku had himself powered up and then been subsequently weakened by his battle with One star dragon, he ended up even with Vegeta for the fusion.

Vegeta was being outrun by Si Xing-Long, but not, in his own words, actually hurt by him. It's possible he was just zipping around with his little attacks, but would have needed to slow down to put out any power in a real fight. He certainly had more of an actual showdown with Goku, at any rate.

For example, I could run around in a fight kicking someone in the shins, but if I actually wanted to win, I'd have to stand my ground eventually to get some real punches in. So he may have been faster, but not necessarily more powerful than Vegeta.

Although Si Xing Long was likely pulling his punches somewhat to simply flick Vegeta away from his and Goku's battle plan...
None of Si Xing Long's attacks were even felt by an exhausted SSJ4 Vegeta.

Therefore I wouldn't hesitate to say Vegeta would easily annihilate him at full power with no problems...that is unless Si Xing Long can manage a Burning Spin.

I'd see Vegeta as a much stronger normal-SSJ4, as ultra amplified Blutz waves were factored into his SSJ4 powerup enabling him to match a semi-exhausted surpassed limits SSJ4 Goku(who I view as still much stronger then his normal SSJ4 state).

So the way I'm understanding this now is that it's intended to be something like Surpassed Limits Goku > Tired SL Goku=Full Power Vegeta > Shadow Dragons Arc SSJ4 Goku > Exhausted Vegeta > 4 Star > Let's say, any incarnation of SSJ4 beforehand (Vs. Baby and Super 17)?

I would say that's pretty accurate.
