Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
The only thing from the Bardock special that was added into the Manga was that Bardock in space fighting against Freeza's man. We don't know how things really went in the Manga with Bardock since it was never shown.

It's hard to choose really. I've always favored all of them, so I guess I'll just have to say all of them.

Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
I must've answered this a billion times here already. But eh, I'll give it another go, just in case somebody forgot.
My favorite DB franchise movie is DBZ movie #9, Ginga Giri-Giri!! Butchigiri no Sugoi Yatsu ("The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy")/("Bojack Unbound").
For one, I love the set up. The tournament. Post-Cell, but Pre-Buu arc Gohan taking part in a fighting competition with other friends of his father's, like Kuririn, Yamucha, Piccolo, and Tenshinhan. Mr. Satan's antics in reaction to their participation are priceless and I love the battle stages.
Then there's the action. It's all excellent. The fights are fairly short, but good, and you can feel the intensity of the blows and the speed of the moves.
I love the soundtrack. It's Kikuchi's best work. I love the art style and animation. I love SSJ2 Gohan being the hero. I love Goku hanging out with Kaio and breaking the afterlife's rules.
It might be the best thing in the entire franchise.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
I'd have to agree with penguintruth. I watched the dub with the original score recently and LOVED it. The music that plays when Gohan transforms into SSJ2 and proceeds to completely destroy Bojack is excellent. I'm going to try to get my hands on the other movies and watch them with the original score.
The story was good and I liked how it fits perfectly in the series. And it is nice for Goku to take the supporting role.

Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
My least favorite movie would have to be movie 7.
My favourite Dragon Ball Movie is movie 2, it is very funny.
Favourite DBZ Movie I guess movie 3, since I like the idea of how Goku would turn out if he didn't bang his head in a rock and turned good. I would've said movie 8 but I hated the way they defeated Broly.
This is of course not counting the specials, because (if specials count as movies) the Bardock special is EPIC in my opinion. To catch a glimpse of how Saiyans live (even if its not canon ? lol :p), plus the main character is Goku's father, great musical score, well, epic.
But I also like the idea of liking them all, and my first contact with japanese Dragon Ball was through the movies so I absolutely love all of them. I saw each and every one of them too many times to say without being embarrassed (also I really can't make an estimate of how many times it was lol)

I have 2:
DragonBall Movie 2 - I just couldn't stop watching it. I don't know why! It's just one of those movies, that you want to watch over, and over agian.
DragonBall Z Movie 5 - Had one of the greatest dub soundtracks. I loved all the fighting, and fast paced action. Really need to buy it (I only watched it by renting it).

Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
I'll just post what I said in this thread.
I haven't watched any of the pre-Z Dragon Ball films, DBZ Movie 11 or the GT film, so I'm just saying beforehand.
Favourites: I don't have one particular favourite film, but my favourites are DBZ Movie 1, 3 and 12.
DBZ Movie 1: It has such great fight chereography and harks back to the fluid, more martial artsy battle sequences of pre-Z. Plus, I like how the movie adds backstory to obtaining the throne of the God of Earth. Garlic Jr.'s also unique for being the only villain in the series who actually gained immortality and how his own technique led to his entrapment.
DBZ Movie 3: I admire the original, somewhat dark theme of the film, with the Tree of Might sucking the life out of the planet. Tullece is a badass villain and is a great representation of what Goku could've been if he hadn't hit his head as a child. Along with the premise of the story, he has a cold feel to him, especially with that odd skin-colouring of his.
DBZ Movie 12: Janemba's origin is certainly interesting and more unique than the other villains. I like his powers to defy reality and the colourful, warped version of the afterlife that the main battle takes place in. Plus, there's comedy in the form of the kids fighting Hitler, Goku trying to get Vegeta to do the Fusion Dance with him and Veku's antics against Janemba. And then there's the awesomeness that is Gogeta.

Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
I really dig the second Broly movie, along with Cooler's Revenge but I think my favourite has to be either Bojack Unbound or Dead Zone. I think I'm leaning a bit towards Dead Zone, but it's usually a toss-up of the two.
Re: What's your favorite Dragon Ball movie, and why?
Probably the third or fourth DBZ movie. I really liked Super Saiyajin Son Goku, despite how many people seem to dislike it. Overall, I think the first 4 were all pretty good, and also Movie 12. The others vary in quality, but the only one I never even bothered to finish watching was Movie 7. Bored me to tears. That and the three Broli movies are the worst of the lot in my opinion.

Best - Either Bojack Unbound or Wrath of the Dragon. I like everyone fighting together, and the more focus on others besides Goku.
Worst - Fusion Reborn (Unfunny, childish and boring. Even Gogeta was disappointing since he was only in it for one minute.
Also Broly: Legendary Super Saiyan for obvious reasons.
