But transformations do drain your ki, but they do it subtley by increasing the time it takes to charge your energy instead of draining it. When goku goes SSJ3, it takes him almost twice as long to fill his ki gauge as he does in his regular state.

But it doesn't drain away like it does in the Budokai series and that's the point I'm trying to make. The whole point of becoming "full-powered" was to make being Super Saiyan just like being normal and thus stop your Ki from draining. Since Ki doesn't drain automatically, this form isn't needed.

I see what you are saying about making powering up easy, but the regular Super Saiyan form isn't that hard to power up anyway. Super Saiyan 3 is a different story and that is only a small attempt to balance out the characters(though it's not really effective).
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

With the possibility of Zenkai Battle Royal being ported to the consoles and the fact that Tekken x Street Fighter is coming out, I don't think Raging Blast 3 will come this year.
I could be wrong, of course. But we'll see in March.

Last year we had Super Street Fighter IV as well as BlazBlue: Continuum Shift last year? (And not to forget Tatsunoko vs. Capcom!) Those were 3 big titles and SSFIV made some big improvements to IV (added you had IV itself, Tekken 6 and the original BlazBlue in and of itself in 09).
General Fighting fans are very happy, and with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, The Mortal Kombat Reboot and yes the possibility of Street Fighter X Tekken this year? Yeah, any casual interest in a DB fighting game has dwindled, especially when most of the recent games have been panned.

Zenkai Battle Royale and the possibility of it changing things up for the better is the only real hope for not only a Good NEW DB fighter but commercially successful one too.

Yeah. And Namdai has bigger projects (Zenkai Battle Royal, Tekken x Street Fighter, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2) to fund.

I still won't mind a RB3, the second game was the best game in the world but it's tons of fun once you get used to the controls again. I would like to see RB3 try to have a bigger character list then Sparking Meteor (Budokai Tenkaichi 3). I think if a 3rd RB game was made then we will likely see The Spice Boys, Garlic Jr.'s original crew from DBZ Movie 1, Bio-Broly (Needs to be in a DBZ game for once, no matter how unpopular he is), Lord Slug, Lord Slug's henchmen, Tullece's henchmen, Bojack's henchmen, Dr. Wheelo, and any pretty much any henchmen or minor characters from the movies or DBZ anime fillers.

I hope to see some GT characters if a 3rd game is made. I always wanted to see General Rilldo in a fighting game for once.

Fixed.

I'm not in favour of massive character lists for fighting games, especially when Sparking! METEOR had a ton of unnecessary characters in favour of more deserving characters. Even still, we'll probably get a bunch of henchmen and a surprise insignificant character like Yamu or someone.

I still hate you can't blow up the Planet's surface in both RB games. Seeing some Planetary Destruction in HD would be awesome if it was done right. I think blowing up the Planet itself would be awesome and that you can fight in space afterwards.

Yeah, they had planetary destruction in Budokai 3 and Sparking! METEOR, but not the Raging Blast games? A minor thing, but it would be nice if they had it in the next game.

I would like to see permanent damage done to the environment. If I smash someone into the ground I want that crater to be there for the rest of the match. If a player skids across the grass let the dirt stay visible and so on.

Also I'd like to see less characters sure it was great to see our favorite minor characters in the game but the novelty has worn off, especially since they all play the same. If losing some minor characters means we get to see more thought out move-sets and combos then I'm all for it; bye-bye Freeza soldier. I really wish developers would put more thought into each character: different styles, different moves, and well you get my point. With every Spike game it's like Vegeta and Goku get the treatment every character deserves, meanwhile everyone else get's "insert generic dash attack here."

I don't want less characters, I want the next game (if there is one,) to, instead of having another forty or so new characters (including transformations,) why don't we get 10-20 new characters, and the ones we already have get more treatment? It seems strange that spike can work out this:

Trunks sword + (New Costume X No Jacket) = :D

But they can't work out simple things like these:

Trunks Fighting Teen + SSJ3 Vegeta + Majin Vegeta -(minus) Black recolour = :D
Trunks Fighting Teen + (New costume X Trunks Fighting Teen body + Trunks Sword head) = :D
Teen Gohan + Orange recolour = :D

You know, that was actually quite confusing.

I doubt we will see that with these games. The main appeal to them seems to be playing as a bunch of characters and performing the same moves they did on the show just like they did on the show.

Damn... what happened to Cooler's final form voice? It doesn't sound nearly as badass as it did before... it sounds a lot more forced

Are you saying you don't want to see King Dog punching Broly in the face?

Yeah, because of the look of shock they get when it doesn't work!

If they do add GT characters in RB3, how much do you want to bet that we will see a SSj4 transformations for Broly, and Gohan?

They can always add the Tori-Bot as a character in RB3 .

I'd be pretty interested in seeing how they handled Super Saiyan 4 for Gohan and Broli, actually. Mainly to see if they're influenced by the fan art floating around. :P
