Future Trunks timeline, this could be very interesting. But they did what 3 pages and we haven't seen it since? What was the point of that.

I wouldn't say garbage, but I know what you mean. After the Vegetto vs Broly fight ever other one kind of sucked. Besides Vegetto, Bra, & Gohan vs Buu and maybe Yamcha and 18. For example, the Mary Sue fight, Gotenks, and how they keep on letting other fighters win by forfeit. I did like the universe 4 buu though.

The specials are meant to be very short.

The Broly specials' only purpose was to change Broly's story and LSSJ ability to fit within the DBM main story, while keeping it short.

Future Trunks' special had the purpose of showing us how Trunks met #16, while keeping it short (that's why its only 3 pages long).

Vegetto`s special had the purpose of being just a collection of funny moments about his universe, while keeping it short.

I mean, none of them is longer than one long chapter of a weekly shonen manga. If all of their pages had been released at the same time, and we had read them in one go, would it be really that bad? Would it really bother us that much?
They could be better, that`s true, but to have a better story they would have to be much longer in order to develop it properly. Would you like much longer specials? I think not...

Specials are just filler, a very specific filler, meant only to show us one specific thing or two about that universe, a way for other artists to do something for DBM but always keeping it short so we can get back quickly to the main story... And that's about it.

Not every fight can be epic. This tournament is huge. There will be all kinds of fights, which is the most interesting factor to me.

And I think that the fights of the ones who forfeited (primative sayans and ordinary Nameks) would be very boring... They would lose easily... Which is why they forfeited... I think its way better to just "skip" them than "losing" one or two pages having a primitive saiyan take on #17, for example... Gee, I wonder who would win . If you think that all the other fights after Vegetto were boring, I'm not sure why you would like to see these fights, since they would prabably be the most boring ones of the tournament and we have already seen pretty much what would happen in them (what Goku did to Mahissu and what Pan did to Baddack).

Well, the match-ups were all pre-drawn before the first fight. Obviously the whole tournament was bracketed for the specific number of fighters, so either way they'd have to either give byes or have forfeit matches, so it makes no difference in the long run.

Outside of gags like Jeece forfeiting to Freeza and Yamcha being a gentleman to 18, most of the forfeits have been from Universe 10. The mass forfeit clearly had the purpose of allowing XXI to advance without having to reveal himself. It also has an undisclosed number of entrants, meaning that in these preliminaries entrants from Universe 10 can fill out the brackets.

I'm guessing all this buildup with Buu is going to turn out to be a classic Dragon Ball "former big badass gets utterly stomped by a new foe so the viewer can guage how strong the new guy is." I know there's a TV Tropes name for that, but I can't remember what it is. Basically though, this happens a lot in Dragon Ball. Tao defeating Blue, Trunks defeating Freeza, ext. ext.

You are forgetting all the fighters from universe 19. They all seem to be ready to fight so they must be all in the tournament. And there are at least 4 of them left (according to the last panel of this page: http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en ... l/0325.png ).

Those alone are 4 fighters to 18 remaining slots. And then we have, like you said, Bra, Raditz, Vegeta (13), #16, Tenshinhan, King Cold, Super Namek, Zangya, and Mysterious U3 Entrant (Tapion has already fought. He won by forfeit).

I believe these will fight for sure. Which makes 13 fighters to 18 slots.

And then we have Cell Jr, Jet, maybe another one of Kat's friends, Belzebuub, Crono and perhaps a undisclosed U9 fighter.

Which makes 19 possible fighters to 18 slots.

So, I'm not expecting any more fighters from universe 10 to appear (in the layout) since we already have one extra possible fighter who won't fight.

Don't take the info on that page too seriously. Like I said, its possible they just changed things after they took the page offline. But, even if they didn't change things, its possible that the "?" just stands for "its unknown at this time how many more fighters/spectators this universe has and what their names are, or even if this universe will have any more fighters/spectators".

And I made a mistake... There are at least 4 more fighters with Ultra armor from universe 19, as proven by the page I edited into my post. So, we actually already have one extra possible fighter without any fighter from universe 10.

I'm certainly not complaining. I'd actually prefer another U19 fighter participate and actually make it through to the next round.

This chapter will be entirely in colors!

This chapter was the second special we created, forgive us if the pictures aren't always perfect.

The releasing rhythm will be 4 pages per week. It'll be back at 3 after that.

Tomorrow, the last page of the current chapter will be released and afterwards this special will start.

Its about 18 pages long, so the main story will only come back in about 4 weeks.

Also, Salagir has mentioned that this special is the last special with art that is not "great". All the other remaining chapters are as good or better than Albertocubatas' special.

Yeah, it's funny because I always assumed that the difference was as simple as Gohan just failing during the beam struggle. They were close enough in power that it presumably could have gone either way. But at 18 pages it sounds like there's going to be some more substance than that.

Yay Cell Special! Should be fun. I imagine they'll show how Cell beat Vegeta and Piccolo as well as who he fought later (Bojack, Broly) and how that Cell Jr came to be. Also some hints about U17 Cell's true power.

What are your predictions for the next fight? IMO it will be Super Namek vs U19 or U13 Vegeta vs Cell Jr. In fact Cell jr fighting seems likely due to the special.
