My response: "You call yourself a Dragonball fan?"
In all fairness, since Broly is a part of Dragonball, a fan of Broly's is a fan of Dragonball. I hate the character, but I had to say it.
If you want to get technical, yes you're right, Broly is dragonball but when people don't realize things such as a big muscular guy with roid rage is what gives Dragonball a bad name or that he isn't even canon nor written by AT. (Notice i said WRITTEN) And frankly, most people who say "Broly's awesome!" hasn't seen the series or if they have they watched either toonami or online for the fights... they might consider themselves fans (not to sound mean) but i wouldn't.... I guess on that level it's an opinion thing.
Big, muscular villains: Nappa, Recoome, 100% Freeza, Spopovitch, Majin Vegeta (veins FTW), Broly, 100% Bojack, Super 13.
Big, muscular heroes: USSJ2 Trunks, USSJ Vegeta
Of the above, Nappa, Super 13, Broly, Recoome and USSJ Vegeta would be pretty roid in my book. And they have fans.

And I find it funny how some people can dislike Broly but still like Super 13.
I hate both Broly and Super 13 to be honest. Both are mindless tanks.

And just for the lulz, let's compare Vegeta to Broly...

Vegeta:
- Strength over smarts (post Freeza arc)
- Elite level at birth
- Hates Kakarrot
- Destroys too much of his surroundings
- Likes to play around with his opponents and humiliate them
- Doesn't really care about Earth or other planets (although only at periods)
- Enjoys rather being a Super Saiya-jin than trying to reach a higher level (always second to the others)
- Hates Freeza for destroying planet Vegeta

Broly:
- Strength over smarts
- Elite level at birth
- Hates Kakarrot
- Destroys too much of his surroundings
- Likes to play around with his opponents and humiliate them
- Doesn't care about the Universe
- Enjoys rather being the LSSJ than reaching a higher possible level
- Hates King Vegeta for trying to kill him (?)

There is more to Vegeta, I know, but I am just pointing some of the things people hate about Broly, and the same things Vegeta shares with him. Remember, just for fun.

Compared to the stuff I see here(and some of the stuff I'm seeing I've actually heard myself) the stuff I've heard isn't that crazy. But that one, which was said by someone who knows his manga, took the cake.

That Dragon Ball AF, at the time, had been running for 3 years after GT. Proceed into a 5 minute nonsense explanation of the plot.

Well, those sorts of things were the worst from what I heard in real life anyway.
I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.

In this person's defense, when you're dealing with a series where it eventually gets to be completely routine for characters to be able to fly, destroy whole planets (entire solar systems really if one goes by the anime) with a wave of their hand, have the physical strength to do insane amounts of collateral damage with just the air pressure of their strikes, warp, bend, and tear open holes in the fabric of reality itself just by getting irritated, have enough telekinetic power to levitate and hurl continent-sized hunks of landmass to and fro, instantaneously teleport to any location in (and outside of if one counts the afterlife) the known universe, have the speed to fly around the world several times within moments and the endurance and resilience to withstand explosions that easily exceed nuclear bomb proportions with hardly a scratch to show for it, and in some cases regenerate completely from any and every wound imaginable so long as only a single, solitary micro-atom of their flesh remains intact, all while having any of these feats (be they one at a time, or in continuous rapid succession) be accomplished completely casual without breaking much of a sweat...

...well I mean fuck man, where the hell else to does one go from there, short of total omnipotence?

So no, believing DB to have the most powerful characters in Shonen Jump is hardly the most outlandish deduction one could make, regardless of how well one "knows their manga". Numerous other Wuxia/fantasy kung fu-fixated manga and anime series get pretty crazy with their characters' strengths and abilities (both in Shonen Jump and elsewhere), but DB's noted for taking it to a whole other level the longer it went on. If there are Shonen Jump series out there these days whose characters could rival or surpass DB's crew (fuck if I know or care at this point), I find it highly unlikely they'd number all that great a many.

Plus even if they did, at a certain point it's like splitting hairs, where you're basically arguing over which god-like universe destroying cast of characters can wipe out a whole civilization or three in however many milliseconds more or less than the other one. It's incredibly redundant, and far "crazier" in and of itself than just simply thinking that DB's cast of characters are the strongest (or at least among the strongest) in the magazine's history, a conclusion which one can very easily be forgiven for making purely by reading/watching pretty much any portion of the Boo arc.
So in short.....It's true!

I'm just messing with you, haha

I'd have to say that, along with all of AF, the idea of Goku impregnating a goddess seemed pretty crazy.

As for DB having the strongest Jump characters, wasn't there a list posted here awhile back where people voted on the most powerful anime/manga characters, and DB definitely wasn't at the top of the list.

Check out the old school SJ series such as Fist of the North Star, Saint Seiya, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure(ESPECIALLY, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure which have some of the most broken powers in the history of comics) and you'll see that they'll give DB a serious run for it's money.

Oh, I think that at least Fist of the North star is a manga Kunzait is familiar with. Anything with gore, really. :P
But his point was that Dragonball had an inflation with overpowered characters, whilst other manga had a more concentrated group of characters with extraordinary [God-like] powers.

The one from these I know is Saint Seiya... the characters aren't that powerfull, the most powerfull attacks destroy a marble temple of such.

Ssj4 Gogeta is pretty much a multiverse buster and Gogeta can beat The Hindu Gods.

Saint Seiya has gods that are universal since Apollo was able to re-create the universe with his hand. Not to mention Gold Saints have to fight across the Galaxy in seconds. Just like DB characters, they can control their attacks and reduced them down to a smaller scale.

Well, thinking of those completely unnecessary bands that he has, I think we can put those into the "completely useless accessories, but I want to look good" category, just like Zarbons leg warmers (urk). At least it seemed like aesthetics was one of Radditz's likings. But his hair kinda contradicts it...oh well.
Since we don't know what he had behind that, we can't know if he is hiding something. :P

"broly could beat majin buu"
"goku is based off naruto"
"z kai is for 3 year olds because theres no blood or action"
"z kai is exactly the same as z, voicing included"
"bardock really is a brilliant scientist"
"ssj3 goku is stronger than vegetto"
"FUNimation writes, draws and animates all of Dragon Ball"
