I wasn't saying TFS does meme spouting or anything. I just cringe at "SPACE DUCKS/AUSTRALIA,DOOOODGE, GHOST NAPPAS" as hard as when I hear "MUDKIPS, LULZ, FUUUUU M I RITE!?" It's just on that level to me. The less I say about Yu-Gi-OH Abridged the better.

Just so this post isn't all angry TFS hate here's some things I forgot.

*I don't mind the Season Sets nearly as much as a lot of other people do.
*I've tried rewatching the series about 40 times, each time stopping around the defeat of Raditz.

Since this thing is still going I might as well add a few more.

1. I think SSjin 3 Goku (Boo Arc) and by extension GT Base Goku are stronger than SSjin Vegetto going by the Anime.
2. SSjin 3 Goku is still stronger than Chou Gohan going by the Manga.
3. Tenshinhan surpassed 100% Freeza by the end of DBZ.
4. The voice-acting in the English Dub is so forced/emotionless and most of the voices so stupid that it's too cringeworthy to watch.
5. I hated Goku and was rooting for Freeza in their fight back when I had only heard the English dub
6. The Ginyu Tokusentai's English voices kick arse because even though none of them truly fit the characters (an alien having an Australian accent?!) the group is clearly not supposed to be taken seriously
7. Son Goten and Chibi Trunks surpassed Gohan and barely surpassed Goku after training in the RoSaT
8. Son Goten and Chibi Trunks surpassed Piccolo in their base forms after the RoSaT

It will never, ever stop being funny to me that the same people who love JP Goku complain that pre-Kai US Freeza made him sound like a woman.

I don't think people care that it sounds like a woman, just that it doesn't bring the true character across.

Oh, and I make Gokuu noises when playing fighting games.

-I don't think Ultimate Battle 22 was as bad as people make it out to be. Although it is undoubtedly a bad game, I still had a good deal of fun in Build-Up Mode fighting opponents and unlocking the extra characters. And that was after it was my first exposure to DB back when I was 8 (and when you're 8, spiky-haired blond guys exploding things with blasts is the epitome of awesome).

-When I'm fighting with my friends at school (not serious, just for fun), I often incorporate stuff from DB into my fighting style. Battle stances, battle cries, pretending to transform, pretending to use Kamehameha...it makes my friends take the piss out of me, and one particular stance had resorted to them calling it "Clawgrip" and "Speargrip", but it's just something that I do (sometimes without realizing) and it looks cool. Two days ago, I was holding out this big stick, pretending that it was Goku's Nyoibo. Maximum nerd points, bitches. 8)

Sorry about necro-posting but I got excited by it so much.

*First of all I find Buruma (particularly as a milf during the andriod and Buu arcs) very attractive. I also love her nude and topless scenes in the first two volumes and Baba of Dragonball although she is disturingly enough 16 in that arc.

*I find Andriod 18 attractive and use her constantly in Raging Blast because of that.

*Maron (Krillin's ex) is attractive but because shes just a non-canon Buruma with blue hair and no brains she doesn't count. Particularly as I go with revised Kai version of DBZ (confession within confession)

*Lastly, I reckon the Tenkaichi/Raging Blast games can be relatively exciting, however they may tend to get boring as you play 'em over and over.

Well I am done. I hope this was worth the necro-pst :? :?:

Here's a new one, I like Uub. I'm not sure why he's so disliked, I guess because people relate him to Z's bad ending? The concept of a super strong human fighter is pretty sweet to me. I also like his voice in the English dub, and Sean Teague seems like a really nice, cool guy based off the documentary from Budokai 3.
Krillin, the guy is just a ridiculous midget without nose.Seriously, he looks like some kind of bizarre monster.
Krillin's head is also pretty big like a balloon.

Eh... it gets kinda old hearing elitists say things like "IT SHOULD HAVE ENDED WHEN GOKU MET BULMA"
I have one more:

I like GT.

Well, I don't dislike it is what I mean. I think, for what's it's worth and what it ended up being, it's alright and somewhat enjoyable. However, I do feel it had some great potential, but ultimately it never reached that plateau.

Personally, I dislike him because...there just isn't that much appeal to him as a character. He's thrown in at the end of the series and we're supposed to accept that he's going to be the next hero, with no development. Not to mention he was basically a Gohan clone. And Toriyama just reused the plot device of Namu going to the Budokai to win money for his village--just like Oob.

I never got that impression at all, I just thought Uub was Goku's newest disciple and an excuse for him to continue fighting. In what way is he a Gohan clone? Maybe I'm not remembering some stuff from GT, but besides both of them being taught by Goku and both having super hero disguises they're nothing alike.

I would agree with you if there was a whole saga revolved around Papayaman going around saving people while juggling school work and dates or something, but Papayaman is merely a disguise, not a full on, super involved persona like Great Saiyaman. Uub was Papayaman for a grand total of probably five minutes and he didn't act goofy or ridiculous like Great Saiyaman at all.

I like Nam and you're right, but I think Uub is a much more involved, heartfelt, and compelling (not to mention far less stereotypical, lol) character compared to Nam. Even taking their identical motives into account, that personally fails to bother me since pointing out all of the reused plot devices in the Dragon Ball franchise is like pointing out all of the Wilhelm screams in George Lucas works.

Edit: How do you switch up your avatars like that? It's a pretty cool trick.

Oob's a Gohan clone in that he's a shy character with a great amount of potential that's only unleashed when he becomes enraged. He just doesn't seem all that interesting at all. There's just nothing about him that appeals to me.

And I disagree that Oob's a much more involved, heartfelt and compelling (far less stereotypical) character than Namu. Namu had more screentime than Oob, and I found his hard, serious demeanour, his battle with Goku and it coming to a conclusion with Kame-sennin giving him an empty Capsule with which to fill water much more interesting than Oob's boring anxiety and brief, routine fight tacked on at the end of the series. Plus, Oob reusing Namu's motive for going to the Budokai was just boring, as if Toriyama couldn't think of anything new. I know, I know, there are other reused plot devices in DB, but Oob's motive was just...bleh.

And I use an avatar rotation at SignAvatar.

I stopped being a fan of Dragon Ball in the 5th grade because my friends made fun of me for it :( , but like a year and a half ago I became a fan again :D .

It's kind of hard to hate Uub (as presented in the manga), because he's never really supposed to be a character. He's a way to give Goku's arc an ending.

And I think people are way off base when they get angry about him being chosen as the next protector. Yes, Goku brings it up. But it's plain to both Piccolo and Vegeta, and should be to the reader as well, that Goku hardly has altruistic motives. Goku just wants the fun of training and fighting Uub. He's a way for Goku to cultivate a new rival, take interest in something again, and basically help this old adrenaline junkie overcome the ennui of having become the strongest man in existence.

He is undeniably the greatest tragedy of GT though, and I say that as an enormous fan of the series.

The Kanzenban ending strongly implies that Toriyama meant for Oob to the next hero, what with him on the Kinto'un and being mirrored in Goku's image. It's true, Goku did just want a new challenge, but the story tried to tell us that this guy was going to take over his role.

I can understand being embarrassed about it, but you were literally forced of your fandom because of your "friends" making fun of you for it?

Well, at least you're a fan again.
