Ugh, this reminds me of the time when I use to watch Dub Comparisons on Youtube. People would go nuts and threaten to kill each other and say stuff about each other's mums and sucking Chris Sabat's dick. Funny thing was people always said the same thing. I remember there was this one guy called OceandubZ who use to go to every Dub Comparison video and talk shit about the Funimation dub and say how the Ocean Dub was what made Dragon Ball Z popular (Which was funny because DBZ was at its peak in 2001 which was when Funimation was dubbing the Cell Games).
By the way, does anyone know if the Ocean Dub is keeping the original Japanese score and Funimation's script?

All we know is Kirby Morrow isn't Goku and Paul Dobson may be in it.

No, I agree with you. FUNimation dub fans can also be condescending to Ocean dub fans. But you can't say the other way around isn't true. I mean, just look at the video Garlic posted. In it, a commenter respectfully posted a message saying that he preferred FUNimation's redub. To which someone else replied saying that he is a "funi nutt-hugger" and that his mother is a whore. Yes, you read right. On top of that, he said that Chris Ayers is "infinitely worse" as Freeza than Linda Young. Which is just insane.
Yup Thats Cancun 187 for you! I'm pretty sure you commented on his Dub comparasion video and he fliped out! btw Oceandubz is Now Ramimusiclover who comments on dbz vids.

As bad as some of these so-called "fans" can be, let's try not to delve into territorial shenanigans or mud-slinging.

The horrid behavior of these "anti-FUNi" people goes without saying, though.

Also They need to keep Paul Dobsons Nappa. He was so close in vocal range to the JPN VA but, uterly failed because of the dialouge he was given!

Oceandubz is a very good friend of mine, like myself he was frustrated that Ocean never obtained the dvd rights nor the rights to dub the full seires.I know full well that back in 2007 when i uploaded about 90% of the Ocean dub version of Dragonball Z onto the Cartoon-world forum that what i was doing was illegal,I only did it because i felt sorry for the fans who did'nt record the seires back in 2001-2004,Oceandubz is'nt a bad person, sure he has made some comment's on youtube that are'nt approved by others but have'nt we all? Kai is the perfect oppertunity to see an Ocean dubbed Freeza saga, and like many people did with the Funimation dub it should be treated with the same respect. As it was said earlier we got "The bad end of the deal" Yes in terms of support by Saban. If any company is to blame it should be Saban with there conduct towards Funimation and Ocean, had Saban not split off from Funimation during the dubbing of season 2 Ocean would have completed a successful dub of the seires and no "dub wars" would have started.10 year's later and history seems to be repeating itself,Flaming a dub is not the way foward.

Is that so, well that damned Saban; didn't they also conduct most of the censors?

Yes, Saban is the reason DBZ was so very censored. FUNi's dub of DB, which came before their dub of DBZ, was full of things removed in DBZ.

Well, a British TV station, Kix TV, was recently looking at a screener of Kai. That screener was likely the dub by Ocean Productions.

Well, we don't know that. We don't know if there's been any progress on that dub or not. It could be Funi's dub. It could be a third, as of yet unrevealed dub. Sadly, these companies never give enough detail.

So if Kai does air in the UK, and Canada, and all of the other countries the old dub aired in, will Ocean bring their dub to DVD/Blu ray? Or will it only air on T.V.?

Funimation has the R1 DVD and Blu-Ray rights to DBKai so i don't know how Ocean would release their version.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

They could release it on DVD in the UK, but it's unlikely, especially with AB Groupe owning the Dragon Ball rights in all of Western Europe (except for Italy).

This could just be a TV Only release like previous ocean versions.

An Ocean DVD release has always been technically possible in Europe, but was never even on the radar because of AB Groupe's tendency to ignore markets outside of its native France. That said, now that AB Groupe has lost the license to the franchise after all these years, that chance has slightly increased, although it still remains incredibly slim (in other words, it won't happen).

Count on Ocean's Kai being TV-only, just like its DBZ, and be pleasantly surprised if it ever is released in other venues.

Didn't happen. That info was wrong, iirc.

Still a slight possibility it is right. The guy at animeland said to wait a few weeks.
