Psaros built the demand for uncut DVDs (Simmons and Real did the petition on their site, though. Hey Castor, that'd be another great one to host!). He's also the one that really inspired fans to muscle on Funimation for all the bad things they did to the dub. If not for him they may have butchered YYH and simply become the next 4Kids and (would have) never gotten as successful as they did.

As far as I'm concerned, Funimation owes Psaros and should cut him a check for a million. Psaros made Funimation into a leaner, healthier company more attuned to what fans wanted. Imo, more so than anyone else. Save Uncle Fukunaga, Psaros did more good than anyone else for that company. Funimation may not have always liked what he had to say but they needed to hear it and his efforts ultimately got through their heads.

Besides, without Psaros they'd probably have inspired hate movements from YYH fans by butchering it as well - Psaros gave Funimation its cold medicine much earlier than they would have had without him before they got too sick and decrepit like 4Kids and they're healthier for it and should all be eternally grateful to him.

Hell, Funimation should invite Chris to stay at their place for a month (like with Jon Allen, sort of) and sleep at Gen's mini-palace (or whatever he lives in) while throwing him a massive party at their headquarters followed by Gen bowing to him and presenting him his check in his office in a lavish ceremony and adopting him as his son and putting him in his will, followed by him saying goodbye to the entire staff at Funimation waving at him with him then by driving off in a Ferrari with the top down and "Head Cha La" blasting out at maximum volume.

That's REALLY just how much they owe Chris Psaros. They'd be much, MUCH less rich if not for Psaros making them fix up their act a lot sooner than would have occurred without him (if at all), so they totally owe him a lot.

Without him there'd be no great YYH or FMA dubs or Fruit Basket or any of that. We'd just have 2 4Kids and Funi might have been forced to retreat to making its own cartoons again.

Chris Psaros didn't "build the demand for uncut DVDs." Uncut DVDs came around because the market was ready for such things. If it wasn't, they wouldn't have happened.

I was flipping through the site again and man have times changed. I'd like to see his opinion on Kai and how Funimation is handling the series these days. I can't help but feel his site and Daizex helped to inspire the changes Funimation made.

A lot of my above post was sarcastic and joking- ie, the whole "Gen should adopt Psaros and give him a sports car" thing. It was a joke. You know, "why so serious?" Even when I'm being sarcastic I'm still taking stuff "too serious" in your book.

But seriously tvfan, it really doesn't what I post since half the time I post anything you jump on whatever I say accuse me of being crazy and then deny being rude. This is probably the dozenth time you've said that to me. Whoopdedoo, I wasn't a big Funimation fan years ago and used to flame the crap out of them on my site so apparently that makes me crazy in your book.

You know, it's a common troll tactic to pick a fight with someone and then for outside neutral observers to lump them in together. The troll doesn't care and then his target gets wrapped up in his nonsense. The amount of time you spend on this board flaming and attacking me has really begun to feel almost stalkerish, tvfan.

I'm not here going out of my way to pick fights with you or flame you, but I will defend myself whenever you attack me which, seems to pretty consistent based on the number of times you go out of your way to repeatedly publicly flame me here.

Anyway, I still maintain that Funimation probably would have become the next 4Kids if not for the fan movement Psaros helped build against it.

And SJR, even Dbzoa- which you once were a part of- only came into existence thanks to the hard work Psaros did at DBZ Uncensored. Azrael probably never would have united all those hardcore anti-Funimation fans who back then were kind of hidden away on the original DBZ board of planetnamek.com if Psaros hadn't inspired him to.

Hell, it's even possible that all the fun he had working on Dbzoa is what motivated him to do his online blog when he was in Japan. So in an indirect way Psaros might (I'm not stating definitively one way or the other, only Azrael could answer that, I'm just raising the possibility) in part even be responsible for "I Am a Japanese School Teacher."

Agh, it's taking forever with Peaches to get the site back up. But when it is YGO U should be up there too.

I know AC hosts DBZU and YGO U, but we've been down way too long. If anyone wants to host YGO U like Castor did with DBZU then they're more than welcome to. Hell, Castor could even add it if he wanted. (even though it's not really DBZ-related it at least has some connection to DBZU)

Still, it would be pretty cool to have all the Uncensored sites in one neat area. (I know that probably interest you, but just saying in case it'd interest anyone else)

There are quite a lot of them though- iirc, there was somewhere between 1 and 2 dozen a few years back. I'm not sure how many there'd be today- the development of unlimited fansubs, piracy, free online stuff and Youtube videos probably lessens the strong need for Uncensored sites that there once was back in the days when getting ripped off for overpriced fansub VHS/VCDs was the only avenue a lot of fans had for viewing the original version of a lot of many of these shows.

At the very least, it would be awesome to see DBZ Uncensored Uncensored, DBZ Uncensored Uncensored Uncensored and that brief "Mr. Popo's Palace crossover" with DBZU be hosted along with DBZU.

Unbelievable, I chose not to reply anymore because Kaboom asked me to but then you make that edit to your post saying shit that I have to clarify.

Well, since you couldn't leave well enough alone and felt the need to edit that in, I guess I now have no choice but to respond. I have never once flamed you in any way. I don't know how else to explain it other than most of the shit that you're talking about is in your own imagination.
