Your dream cast for a Dragonball Film

Hey, I thought it might be fun to come up with our hypothetical "dream team" cast for a Dragonball movie. While The Film-That-Must-Not-Be-Named was an utter disappointment, I'd like to think that, if done well, it is a film I'd love to see.

Maybe so, but it's not a fun game if you go around casting unknowns. There must be somebody you saw in a film and thought "man, he'd make a great Tenshinhan"

First off, I have to agree, I'd go ahead and cast unknown actors if I had to pick for a live action film. There are certain things that break illusions in films for me A) changing actors between sequels and B) looking at a character from a series I know and love and having to think "Hey, not only did Goku just defeat Vegeta, but in the past he also saved the future from robot invaders, had his wife returned from insane terrorists by force, and has a horrible debilitating drug addiction". Despite how much I enjoyed both movies, watching Robert Downey Jr. play both Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes, at least with such close releases, is very "meh" for pulling me into the world they are trying to create.

Personally if they were to make another Dragon Ball film, I'd pick the current VAs for voicing of course (each country can use their own VAs for dubbing or whatever). I'm now firmly of the belief that any Dragon Ball film that wishes to be successful should be made in traditional 2D animation as in the past, or in CGI similar to Advent Children.

An all celebrity cast for me! Lady GaGa as Freeza has my vote. Justin Beiber confirmed for Son Goku! Snooki plays the harsh mentor Piccolo and trains Kim Kardashian that plays the innocent Gohan. Micheal Richards is playing Vegeta back with Jerry Seinfield who plays Nappa.

Why has nobody from "the biz'" requested my input on this shit yet?

This. It's ...so hard too imagine faces that fit with these characters.

I'd like to see Robert Pattinson cast as Vegeta, gfor no other reason than to see the fan reaction.

If there is one good thing DBE did, it was to help create some pretty funny fan reactions. Twilight and DBZ brought together would probably cause a fandom meltdown.

On serious note:
I've seen Dragon: A Bruce Lee story not long ago and I remember thinking the actor that played Bruce Lee, Jason Scott Lee, could've done pretty good job as Goku. There was something playful and childish in how he portrayed the character and not to mention he actually knows martial arts. Too bad this was 20 years ago.

I honestly can't see them ever making a Live-Action Dragonball movie that I'd be satisfied with...

But since this is completely hypothetical and could only ever happen in your dreams anyways, there would be some people at one point in time, I wouldn't mind being cast as certain characters; judging predominantly by appearances. For the Saiyan Arc:

Bill Goldberg as Nappa

Ziyi Zhang as Chichi

She's starred in a number of martial arts films, and when shown to be angry, I think she gives off enough of that intimidation/craziness that you'd expect from Chichi.

Pat Morita (RIP) as Master Roshi

Mr. Miyagi from The Karate Kid, he would've fit the role perfectly, IMO.

Danny DeVito as North Kaio

They are both short, stocky guys who also have a comedic side.
