Re: Abbreviating 'Super Saiyan'...
I switched to using SSJ, because of past confusion when looking up DBZ related material using SS. In America, SS stands for Super Sport when talking about cars too.

I think I'll always use ssj. The j goes so nice with the numbers.

Re: Abbreviating 'Super Saiyan'...
I abbreviate it as S.S. simply because it's just that- an abbreaviation of the words Super Saiyan. In addition to that, "Super Saiyan" is part of my daily vernacular, which is the other reason I shorten it like that; consistency is important.

I really don't like using "SS" because it reminds me too much of the Nazi millitary organization. I go the extra nine keystrokes and just type out "Super Saiyan".

Re: Abbreviating 'Super Saiyan'...
I say Super Saiyan but write "SSj" because honestly "SS" looks too weird; there are too many initialisms that use "SS" and adding one more to the list just makes things confusing. To me, "SSj" is unique and it makes sense. Plus, I like the way Herms compared it to pounds (lb). Never really thought about it in that light but it makes perfect sense. When people question my choice to use the "j" I just explain that it comes from "Super Saiya-jin" and that I don't like saying "Super Saiya-jin" because I sound stupid saying it.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Re: Abbreviating 'Super Saiyan'...
Since we call Super Saiyans as "Super Saiya-Jin"...
To be consistent Piccolo should be called "Super Namek-Jin"
Actually the suffix "jin" should be added to all group titles then...heh
