The gap between #17 and #18?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Yes, 16 is infinite as well...

Well 18 is stated to be MORE SUPPRESSED than 17. Which suggests 17 was suppressed as well. 17 could still have had too much emphasis on power and still be somewhat suppressed.

So I can see both statements working together, which is generally the best way. But if not, I'm fine with them being weaker because of the human counterpart point. I just think that it doesn't have to be that way according to those statements about them..

I am a homeless guy with zero money. Bill Gates got more money than me. What's the deal?

Either way, the line "Too much emphasis was placed on his power, resulting in him being a failure who doesn't listen to orders" in my eyes makes clear that no. 17 power is not suppressed.

Since the issue with #17 and #18 seemed to be derived from their powers, I'd say #17 definitely had his power restrained. Gero seemed pretty relieved with #17's mannerisms, believing he actually "fixed the problem" once he released him. I don't see any other way he'd get them to start following orders aside from toning down their powers.

You are right on that. That page probably meant about the moment they were built.

Probably Dr. Gero re-worked on them a few times... in the future the androids are a lot weaker

Which brings me back to my original point...

Infinite Energy Reactor = Infinite Energy Reactor...

JackJack, by this logic, I guess we should assume that Gero just suppressed 17 and 18 down moreso in the Future timeline than the Present timeline instead of thinking that Gero created a weaker 17/18 would you agree? That seems to be the more logical approach I would think..

I guess so. The androids in the future also have different personalities, they are evil, but they are not like the ones from the present capable of becoming friendly with Goku. That's another indication that Dr. Gero worked more on them...

But shouldn't an infinite energy reactions reflects an android "stamina" instead of the power output? In that sense no.16 and no.17 are equals.
