Those signs in Japan have cleverly been disguised as popular children's comic and animation characters. Most of those I've personally seen are Pikachu's or other Pokemon.

Thank god Patrick Star hasn't been put on a sign. He's actually dumb enough to encourage the kids to run out in the street and get run over. Then again, Garfield has been encouraging kids to "drag out into the street and shoot" adults since the late eighties.
