Eh, it's not the bad over here. America is a lot more strict with TV.
I'm not sure if it's relevant but when Naruto aired on Jetix it was an edited version of the edited CN USA version.
Though America doesn't really have a watershed does it?

The UK is backwards with TV laws. For example, after 9pm you can say the C word and show a pair of breasts on the first 5 channels, but show cartoon blood on a channel in the kids section and somehow you've gone too far

Isn't that because 9pm is the watershed and kids' channels are on in the daytime?

Kid's channels go on 24 hours a day, usually Cartoon Network shows shit they wouldn't want to show during the day, last time I remembered it was Gadget Boy... and before that it was the Magic Roundabout.
I'm not sure what they do now though, it might just be the same shows they had on during the day.
It might have something do to with all the stuff that went on the past decade, Jade Goody and "Shilpa 'Poppadom" , Jonathan Ross/Russell Brand etc, Ofcom must be tightening things every time some idiot makes fun of someone else.

IIRC, Naruto was on around 9pm on Jetix
Kids channels are on 24/7 for some reason with shows that only have 52 episodes (currently Robotboy) shown about 4-6 times without any adverts overnight.
I really hope when AS launches, they cut CNs hours back to 9/10pm and use the space to launch AS there, instead of wasting more money >_<

To be fair, their policies aren't as strict as the FCC's. If Frankie Boyle or someone went on US National TV, the parent's television council will have a freaking fit

OK, but still, the point
Paradox295 was making was that the UK was backwards in that you can say the C-word and show a pair of breasts on the first 5 channels, but you can't show cartoon blood on a channel in the kids section. But, you know...it
is a kids channel in the UK, even if it's past the watershed. Not that I agree with it, but you know...that's just how censorship is. It's not really contradictory. Swearing and nudity on normal channels past 9pm. No blood on kids channels.

I had to look up the term "watershed," but we do have something like that. 10PM seems to be the universally accepted start of "adult" content, but I'm not sure if it's an actual law or anything. For instance, South Park has always aired new episodes at 10PM, and never used to air earlier than that, but at some point they started playing reruns in the 9PM hour. And in some US timezones, the 10PM "adult" stuff ends up airing at 9PM anyway.

Actually, plenty of blood was shown on UK TV at 5pm prime time and even morning reruns of Buu saga DBZ, DBGT and especially DB. The Blue Water dub Piccolo Jr episodes broadcast on UK TV were brutal, lots of blood shown in those episodes.

*Sigh*...so just general censorship inconsistency again, then?

Hmm? What advert? Has there been a confirmation that a Sky channel is gonna air DBZ Kai?

KixTV just say to watch their site.
Which is quite ugly.
I was hoping to have a DVD Recorder by the time DBZK started airing here...

I've just sent them a tweet asking them to confirm which dub they may possibly be looking into.
