I'm in a huge dilemma. You see, I've been thinking about getting the 3 Kai Blu Rays for a while. They are less than 30 Euro each on Axelmusic, and it seems to be the cheapest I can find. They ought to go back up in price soon, so I'd love to order them now. But I have a few problems.
If Kai stops airing, the rest of the Blu rays (most likely) won't be released. And I'd hate to have an incomplete release. I also don't want to wait that long (to hear any news about Kai, in case the price increases again.
But...
I also would love to get the DX Trunks and SSJ Vegeta LOS figures. They look awesome! I would love to get them and some of the other LOS DX figures. But I'm quite certain I'll get stung on VAT and Import Duty if I get them all at one. I'm definitely sure I will get stung if I use HLJ or a site like that ships from Asia, so I'd use ebay. Also, I have no space whatsoever for the figures! I just got a huge 1/60 Gundam kit today, and I don't even have room for that! I think I'm going to have to sell some of my figures :/ Or buy a new shelf...
Can anybody give me their opinion on what I should do? :D

Well … if I were you, I’d buy the figures, because this particular line spikes in price very quickly.

As for customs/imports … I’m only speaking from experience here, but I’ve only ever had to pay for customs when I shop at AmiAmi and only when splurging out for EMS shipping. I buy from Japan and other non EU countries very often – and use EMS – and have never been asked to pay customs any other time. Customs seem to be fairly random.

I can empathise with the lack of space! My display table is filled, but I keep buying figures and putting them in storage. My rational – “If I don’t buy them NOW they’ll just skyrocket in price! So, I'm saving money, really!” Hopefully I'll get more shelves and stuff later on.

No no this is all good stuff for the thread anyway. For the upcoming LOS Trunks and Vegeta. Buy them. Buy them Now. If you wait, you'll regret it believe me, I mean you'll get stung with VAT and import duties no matter what, so just buy them now while the figures are still at a reasonable price. The Trunks and Vegeta are by far the best figures the DX line of Los has produced yet so these will definitely spike in price quickly. Buy a new shelving unit, or pack some figures into storage to make space.

p.s. Out of the maybe 80 times I've ordered from Asia, I've paid taxes/import duties like three times... lol

Lol, I'm telling you1 People have debated when figures have came out and not gotten them, and then two months later go to buy them and they cost 200$ or are out of stock! Lol.

Yes I noticed, HLJ said they'd be back on the 14th. Hope they ship them out with "love".

Just placed my pre-order for the SSJ Vegeata. Thanks for the link Raithos! I realize the best thing I can do is try to stay on top of the releases I really want. No way I'd be getting that figure for 1,450jpy after it was released. I just wish they were still taking orders for the Wild Style Vegeta :(

Very wise decision :D. When I find myself hesitating, I'm just like f*** it. Go for it, you only live once.
Don't worry orders for Wild Style will probably re-open soon. Orders for LoS DX III SSJ Vegeta stopped for a couple days, then re-opened so I'm not worried.

I saw that orders were still open for the Wild Style Goku, so hopefully Vegeta will also be open soon. I've found the Wild Style other places but only ever as a 2 figure set. The Goku is really cool, but I need to focus my efforts for the sake of my wallet.

I will keep looking at HLJ, for the pre-order.

Ah yes, I've glanced the bay already, I'll check logic but I think I'll wait for either hobby or Angolz. Thanks a ton though.

For the first release the paint and everything were spot on.
For the second, the shading and paint were a tad flawed but still ok.
But for release 3 the figures seem off to me , I'm seeing a general decline in quality so hopefully this isn't widespread.
Yeah, exactly. Is it just this (DX) line specifically or are the mini LoS figures slightly declining in quality also? I don't have them, but since you brought up the point, I am a little curious. I honestly am very excited about these two figures in particular, and I hope they do look better in real life.
Oh and, if this is clogging up the thread, I think it would be better to move it to Mike's toy releases thread.
Sure, we can move it here. Actually no.. if anything the minis have increased in quality. When I got line 4 I was literally blown away! The quality on these are FANTASTIC, especially the Ohzaru pieces. Then again creating figures at a small scale doesn't cost Banpresto as much as creating figures and painting them on a DX level. So I can understand the top quality found in the smaller line. I'd say quality went up if anything.

Well, in mini LoS the super saiyans have red shading in their hair. It looks pretty bad except on Vegeta, where it is strangely absent, and thus he has the best hair...I guess it's just the way they shade, but on DX it looks pretty bad.

I actually don't see this shading on my Los minis, but the shading on the DX figures adds depth. I like it. On the newest releases though it's too apparent.

Woah Turles and this two Saiyans look great. A nice addition to the previous Bardock saiyans . Mike, no news about WCF or DWC Dragonball on this prize fair?

Actually, those Saiyans have nothing to do with Turles. They were seen in the Pendulum room where the humans were training for the arrival of the saiyans.

Goku's doing his Superman pose! :P His head looks a little too small for his body though.
