Here are my theories about the added jokes that weren't present in the original as of now:

1. A different script writer

2. Those jokes were probably the edited lines on Nicktoons and will most likely be removed in the uncut version.

3. FUNI saw how a certain part of the fanbase (Z dub fans to be specific) got pissed off because the writing in the Kai Freeza saga wasn't the way they wanted to hear.

The latter may seem silly, but Piccolo's lines about writing letters and Vegeta buying formulas tells me that FUNI wants to please the Z dub fans as well.

Funimation needs to learn that it's not an animation studio, they're not writing the show, it's already been written.

But so far, it's not as jokey as it was back in DBZ, so I'll let these few lines pass.

I just hope Vegeta isn't going to be joking about turning the androids into appliances.

Wow #19 sounds way too forcibly robotic... it's like when I see the character open his mouth, I don't feel like he's actually speaking, I feel like it's just some sort of inserted voice over. I don't like it at all.

19 sounded quite robotic in the original, too.

I'm perfectly happy with No. 19's voice. Dr Gero's voice is good too. I'm really liking the episodes without Trunks' horrible voice. ^.^

I agree. I am dreading the next episode when Trunks makes his return. These past few episodes haven't been bad minus the stupid insert jokes.

He never sounded robotic at all in the original.
It was slightly monotone but with a creepy high pitched edge.

There was defiantly no filter over it.

No, I have not been playing the games. The last time I heard 19 speak was the last time I went back and watched the Android Arc a while ago. It just came up and surprised me by raping my ear drums last night. Jesus Christ, I didn't expect anything that bad from an Android's VA

19 is a completly disposable character, aslong as it no longer sounded like a wind-up toy on crack I'm cool. The Kai dub voice came off as more creepy and odd but not unfitting so it was fine by me.

I was alittle worried with Sabat at first as he powered up, he just never seems to know how to fully make "grunts" sound cool. Luckily once he gave out the first scream as he turned ssj it was all uphill from there. The guy knows how to scream now, and well too, that's for sure.

That's not robotic?
I have no idea what the hell he sounded like in any of the dubs, but his original voice was definitely meant to sound somewhat artificial and non-human.

No, they don't. Hori Yukitoshi's a bit stoic in his performance, but there's no 'robot voice filter'.

Did anybody notice they went back to the old opening animation for this episode? Last week's episode had the Android saga opening, but this week was the Saiyan saga opening. For those who have been keeping up with the leaked episodes, do they ever return to the Android saga opening? Or was it a fluke?
