Part of me wonders if Tien had done a point-blank kikoho at #17, would it had been enough to take him out thus, keeping Cell from becoming complete.

I'm sure if Yamcha had an attack like that, he could have done it as well.

And I meant got knocked out fighting #17 and #18.
Where's the beef?

Tenshinhan managed to slow down Cell in his second form.
He even got Majin Buu, y'know, the guy that had as little respect for Yamcha as to eat him.

But the point is, he doesn't. Because he's not strong enough to.

I think yamcha just had a case of being too human and lazy to be a true hero, but at least he tryed, look at the cell games, at least he put up a fight compared to Kuririn and he tryed to do his part in the end but wasnt strong enough.

Please be careful when typing, and do so properly. You've agreed to such as stated in the forum rules. Thank you; I believe this is your second formal warning.

I still say that I wish that Toriyama instead of just focusing on the Saiyans allowed Yamcha and Tien to learn Kaioken. True it wouldn't be all that much, but it would have helped. After all, when they arrived at King Kai's, they were stronger than Goku when he arrived there.

Perhaps Goku could only master Kaioken because his body wasn't human, remember Kaio did say being a Saiyan was gonna be an advantage for him. Ergo Tien and Yamcha were incapable of mastering it because the strain would break their human bodies, this is just my theory.

That may be true. I think King Kai even admits that he can't master the Kaioken.

Yes it is stated that it's very hard on the body by Kaio-sama and later Goku when he explains the technique to Kuririn. Perhaps it's just too taxing on a human body?

I disagree. It was probably a strength thing. Note that when Goku has a PL of 8,000 he can use Kaioken only twice without straining his body to the point of damage (and even then, only if using it incrementally). Kaio was even weaker than Nappa, whose PL was only 4,000. It could easily stand to reason that to master Kaioken x1 you need a strength in the 3,000-4,000 range.

Added to that, Tenshinhan states he was only going to seize the strong points of Kaio's training and expand upon them. I always believed that the Shin Kikoho was proof that he was able to do just that. Whereas Yamcha, ignoring filler, didn't even seem capable of completely adapting to 10g before returning to Earth.
