Yea, and to think that I'm the one that started it! Usually I just lurk around on the board without posting much, so this kind of feels like an honor since I love this community. Oh, it'll be 3 months at 10:40pm eastern. Not 9:40.

Ok, to somewhat get back on topic, did anyone else think that the title of last night's episode was funny? C'mon, "Vegeta has a Ball"? What was Funimation thinking when they made these titles?

Well, it sounds like Laura Bailey does Dende, to me. I really liked the cussing in last night's episode. Heh, Kuririn's got such a dirty mouth in the redub.

When I saw the title, I figured it meant he had a ball killing Namekians, not the D-ball literally. And "bastard" isn't a dirty word. Still surprising though.

Does anyone know what happened to the old dende voice actor?
It will take me a while to like his new voice, its not bad just different.

Actually I was thinking it was funny along the lines of anatomy. Yea, I know. I have a dirty mind. :?

For once, one of King Kai's cracks actually made me laugh with the "I guess that steak was 'Tienderized'" line. Also there was nothing that would suggest Zarbon's informing Vegeta that Frieza also transforms. Though more so not like it was in the manga. The Great Elder of Namek sounds different. Unfortunately he sounds more like an old and decrepit Piccolo this time around.

I'm just wondering if there'll be a new release of the currently available episodes under the "ultimate uncut" label, since you could repatch certian parts of the dub (changed voice actors, revamp/add flavour to some dialouge, etc), give it a 5.1, include the spanish version.. etc.

It'd be nice, I guess.

I don't quite understand all the big deal about 5.1 sound, but the dvds do have that option.

I want to know this too. I'd be pissed if they re-released all the episodes again, since I do enjoy my Mexican dub quite a bit! ^_^ If they do I'd stop buying the current releases, since I still don't have the World Tournament throught Kid Buu Sagas...

I'm surprised no-one's brought up the fact that Krillin said both "Bastard" and "Dammit" on this past Monday's episode, let it be known I was the first to bring it up.

I was refering to the currently released DVDs (freeza-buu) being redone, as they do not have 5.1.

I don't see the point in a 5.1 for a fullscreen TV-budget show from the 80's, and considering it's not a really super 5.1 track, I can't see the point. However, it helps to sell more copies that way.

TWO SWEARS IN ONE EPISODE!?!!?? (yes, I'm late, just don't feel like coming here everyday anymore)

Saiyan:3, Namek: 4 1/2 (so far), Android:0, Buu: 1

This now marks this saga as the most swears in the english dub for one saga.

Number of times each Character swore:
Cat: 1, Vegetable: 1, Random Freeza Soldier 5429 (my name for him from page 11): 1, Small Plant who grew up to be a pretty useless Kami: 1/2, Satan: 1 and Chestnut: 3

What a potty mouth. :P

Coverart for Volume 7. It looks nice enough, but I don't see why it's taking so long to release them. I certianly wish they'd hurry up.

Wow, that's really sexy. I really like what they've done with the recent dvd cover arts. Are they original artwork done just for the dvds? That Shenron, whoa, really awesome how it fills the entire front.

They're edited screencaps, not new art.

For you guys counting swears, Yamcha called Bubbles "A Damn Monkey."

Addendum: Another "damn" from Zarbon. Plus we get the effect of Appule's death. True it wasn't like the manga where we saw him get fried actually, but still.

AGAIN TWO SWEARS!?!?? I only caught the "damn monkey" bit... had to go to bed (taped it though :P ).

Swear list Version XX:
Saiyan:3, Namek: 6 1/2 (so far), Android:0, Buu: 1

The Namek saga is still king of the swearing pirates!

Number of times each Character swore Version 2.0:
Wiskers the Wonder Cat: 1, Vegetable: 1, Random Freeza Soldier 5429 (my name for him from page 11): 1, Small Plant who grew up to be a pretty useless Kami: 1/2, Satan: 1, Chestnut: 3, Blue alien: 1, and Sha Wujing: 1

How many episodes are left now?
