Would you rather the original colors?

If Kai was made from scratch instead of just being a touch up of the old footage. Would you have wanted the Characters to be in the original colors (Blue Karin Purple Haired Bulma etc)?

As a person long abused by Toei's horrible "Let Your Children Color The Anime Day", I say yes, I want the Original Manga Colors. In fact, I want them to remake several of their 80s anime series in the style of FMA: Brotherhood, and do the colors as they were meant to.

I always prefer my colors to be accurate when possible.

Not really. The colors for the anime never really bothered me. Not even green armor Vegeta.

Because Toei gave Kaiba green hair? Gave Bulma Blue Hair?Gave 3/4ths of the cast of Saint Seiya weird colored hair when they had normal colored hair, mostly?

Yeah, I'm a bit bitter with some of Toei's worst habits (Inconsistent animation, taking out canon material, and mixing in filler, poor detail), so I generally don't give them the normal slack I'd give other companies.

This certainly would've made Kai a more interesting release. It would've been better than the rehash they did.

Definitely. If only to differentiate a remake from the original.

Honestly, I'd like it if a future series took a radically different approach and stuck with not only the accurate colors, but a more pastel palette all around, like the color chapters.

I loved how FA: Brotherhood looked a lot more like the comic that the first anime. If Kai was the same way, I would've been ecstatic. Bulma and Trunks should have purple hair... :/

But Trunks already did use the purple hair.

Trunks' hair in the anime is a very subdued, faded grayish purple, whereas in the manga it's a very strong purple, similar to GT Trunks.

Bulma probably ended up with blue hair in the anime because the first chapter of the manga had her with blue hair before Toriyama decided to change it to purple. I'd love to see the anime with purple-haired Bulma, though. Looked awesome in the 10th anniversary movie.

And with how bad the film quality was, I've had friends tell me his hair is pink. It's not pink; it's lavender. But still, that's not at all the right shade of purple...

And I don't get why they went with greenish hair for Bulma, and blue dogi for Gokuh... They were purple and orange by chapter three or so... >_>
