Be more specific, please.
Sorry, I was referring to something else, and didn't notice the bolding. But, while I do have your attention, did any of Freeza's lines seem all that different? I remember a few lines sounding like edits, different ways to say someone was killed. But, I can't recall any specific examples, sorry.
The previously mentioned "stand still, and perish!"
I'm drawing a blank for the other ones right now.
I can say however that at one point he refers to Goku as a "dirty simian bastard", which had me laughing out loud.

Have you come up against any of them saying "Bitch," or "Shit?"
I swear Schemmel once said that it was recorded.

I saw him say that, too, but it hasn't been used. They probably decided to take the high road and not have it in there often. The only time so far was Guldo.

I hate to say it, but compared to the original effort, the US dub of Kai far surpasses the original go at Z. The characters sound tougher as compared to the original, and Frieza and King Kold sound much, much scarier.

Well, that was FUNimation's goal.

Hey, during the eps of Frieza on Earth, does it sound weird to anyone else hearing the minions calling Frieza "Prince Frieza"? It's kinda weird to me, due to being so used to him being called "Lord Frieza" with the title Lord more.

On the part 4 DVD, After blasting Namek's core, does Freeza still say to Goku "Need I give you a lesson in Geography?" ?

Hm, haven't posted here in quite a while...
I've been catching up with bits and pieces of Z Kai for a while, mostly to see Ayres' performance as Freeza considering he's my favourite of the villains and is definitely the best of the recasts. They've also been giving him some of the best dialogue (how much of that is straight from the translation, I'm not sure). I loved a lot of his lines in episode 53, especially "I hate to gloat, but there's a lesson here about the virtue of mercy: it's only value is to your foe."
The editing around the cut was a tad questionable... I'm trying to remember how it looked in the original dub. Didn't they more or less leave it as is, but edit out as much of the blood as possible? Anyone got a clip or pic of that for comparison?
I'll admit the filter on his voice when he returns as Mecha Freeza didn't bother me too much... Then again, that whole scene isn't one of my favourites in Dragon Ball, really. I always felt it completely ruined Freeza's legitimacy as a threat in the previous episodes having a new guy waltz in and completely demolish him so easily. I know it was all to set up the androids as a serious threat, but there were surely other ways of doing that other than "Let's make the villain we've been building up to for the past 50 or so episodes get completely wiped out by a guy who is almost never as useful as he is here later in the story!"

Wait, there's one line in there...
"The core has been completely desiccated!" Is that still there? Or did they change it to, "decimated"? Because desiccated is NOT the word to use there, but that's what it was on Nicktoons.

That means you're still holding back and you're not really a Super Saiyan. Damn it! The only way you can beat him is if you harden your heart, you fool. You have to put aside your mercy. Then you might, MIGHT, actually stand a chance. You could truly become a Super Saiyan... Please Kakarot, you have to listen to me. I need you to know what happened to Planet Vegeta, where we were born. It's gone; destroyed, that's true. But not because it collided with a meteor. It was Freeza. Freeza did it. After we Saiyans served him faithfully, [*tears*] and blindly followed his every last order he betrayed us. He disposed of us like common trash. He wiped us out from existence so that now we [Goku and Veteta] are all that remain. They're all gone. Your parents. My father, the king. We Saiyans were growing in strength and numbers and Freeza feared that soon a Super Saiyan would be born among us. It terrified him. [*crying*] I'm begging you. Please. Beat him. For me. For the pride of our race. You must defeat him. Please. He must die... by a saiyan's hand! [*dies*]
Differences in bold. Only 2 real changes, but there you go.
Well, many people were moaning that "by a Saiyan's hand" wasn't in the TV dub, so I guess those'll be happy now.

Looks like Nicktoons screwed up today. When I got home and saw ep taped off dvr and info says it's the new ep, but instead it's the episode when the dead humans get resurrected.

I just checked TV Guide to see when I can catch a rerun of the episode next week. And well, there are no episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai scheduled to play next week. None. Not even reruns. What the heck is going on?

The show's been canceled everywhere!

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

It's a Dragonocalypse, soon all the merchandise will vanish leaving Dragonball nothing more than a memory.

My cable on-screen guide says that there will be new episodes next Wednesday and Thursday, and that the episode that was supposed to play yesterday will repeat on Tuesday. Fuck it, I'm using that trick to watch it on their website.

Just a quick question. Was the second ending theme dubbed?
