How would you rewrite the ending of the manga?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

After all Goku has done to save the world, is it surprising that he would pull strings to get one last fight with Vegeta?? Or why Vegeta would have his body to spend a day with Bulma and TRUNKS also.

Towards the end of Buu, I'd like to see a Janemba type deal and more exploration on Hell and the Demon Realm. Then at the end of the last bad guy's defeat, Vegeta and Goku have it out for one last blowout (as friends). That or keep the kanzenban ending, I really enjoy the symbolism of Goku becoming the master, seeing himself in Uub as a child.

The Boo Arc- maybe not throw out, but rewrite.
Showing Kaioshin like really powerful and mysterious creature. Throw away 90%, leave the most dramatic moments. Our heroes dies in supernova, but finally won. Afterword's bureaucracy put them in Hell. Life goes on.
After years Bulma and Chi-Chi die and can't find their boys in heaven, so they show everyone middle fingers and jump out of the Snake Road straight to arms of missing lovers.
The last page shows Kaioshin watching whole accident and laughing while reading Yemma's notes about "That crazy beings who turned Hell upside down".
Per aspera ad astra, man!

Everyone belongs in the kitchen, the kitchen has food

Gohan being the hero i never liked. If anything, Buu seemed to go down the direction of Goten and Trunks being the new saviors since Gohan retired. I'd like to see the final fight be Kid Buu vs serious Gotenks. Obviously buffing Buu's power a bit. Or get rid of Buu as the villain altogether and have someone more serious like Janemba. The ending would be similar to GT. Goku looking down on the kids as the new heroes of Earth and maybe a glimpse of one final fight with Vegeta in Otherworld.

I have to admit, the epilogue of DB was kinda depressing. The new generation has no real interest in fighting (the difference in attitude towards fighting between kid Goten & kid Trunks and teenage Goten & teenage Trunks is pretty jarring) and most of the last generation has either retired or is approaching old age.

Uub and Pan . I see older Pan going down the same road as Goten and Trunks and by the time she's 14 she'll probably care more about boys and what sorta earings would go with her new skirt than "where do I find new worthy opponents."

As for Uub as the new Goku. I just don't like it.

It's sad that by the end, the only real full time warriors left are Goku, Piccolo and Vegeta...

So as to how I'd re -write it :

Make it in such a way that at least these three stick around for far longer than
We know Piccolo out-lives basically everyone because he's actually amoung the youngest and has a far longer natural life span but I'm thinking more along the lines of the Kai's giving them a special pass for defending the univers and what not.
Although I don't see Vegeta being forgiven for his past actions but at least Piccolo and Goku would get to stay....

As far as the finale with Majin Boo goes, I wouldn't change much. For all the constant plot adjustments and crazy power-scale-boosting that Toriyama ended up doing for that arc, I think things turned out great with that final battle. Goku, Vegeta, Mister Boo, Mister Satan, and the general population of Earth were the underdogs of the Majin Boo arc, but it was they who finally got their sh*t together and found a way to strike back and finish Boo off, in a very dramatic and genuinely interesting way. Plus, the Spirit Bomb actually finally did the job for once. If anything, I'd tweak the events leading up to that final battle to make a little more internal sense.

Insofar as Goku taking off with Oob... what's the big deal? He's still on the same planet. With Capsule Corp's super-planes and everyone else's ability to fly and teleport or whatever, it's not like he's gone for good to some magical realm where nobody can reach him (that's GT's ending instead). If you feel like throwing Neko Majin into the mix rather than GT, then once Oob learned how to fly or whatever it seems he and Goku spend just as much time back at the Son family home than anywhere else.
